Small hotel in the middle of Madrid

This is a beautiul small hotel which has been recently redecorated, close to the Puerto de Sol and Plaza Mayor and two shopping distrticts. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable, if small. They offer FREE fast dependable internet wireless. There is a bar, but no restaurant (except for breakfast) but just outside the hotel is a very good sushi restaurant (many of the guests are Japanese) and nearby are plenty of other good places to eat. I have stayed here for the past 25 years and the place has only gotten better and better. It also has the world's smallest elevator (one of two) which generally provides a conversation topic among the guests!

The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to a lot of attractions. The rooms are modern and clean with the beautiful bathroom. We had a little balcony with the nice view of the city. The hotel has tiny funny looking triangular shape elevators but the for of us could fit into them. Definitely I would stay there again.

This hotel looks a lot better on line. Extremly difficult to find. I call for directions and even the concierge couldn't tell me how to get there (and language was not a problem)
Madrid Hotel

The Arosa and very friendly and helpful staff. It was within easy walking distance of historical sites and shopping, and close to the Madrid city tour bus line. Bar and informal food service was limited. Rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable.
