Hidden Gem in the Latin Quarter

I have stayed twice at this hotel within the past several years at Christmas time. The location is supberb, steps from the Metro in the heart of the Latin Quarter. I took my 17 year daughter for her first experience of Paris in December of 2007 - she said it was magical. Anyone with a teenager knows that rarely does such a comment come from them! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The house cat, "Isis", may sneak a visit up to your room by the end of your stay. This time I skipped the in-house breakfast and traveled to many other cafe's for roughly the same amount of money. This hotel is quite a value for the budget conscious traveler - yet it has all the simple ammenities one would expect. Rooms are clean, furnishings are simple and adequate. Each room is unique. We arrived very early at the hotel on the morning of our flight (around 8AM). The staff let us check-in early, which was greatly appreciated and they did not charge an extra early check-in fee.. This hotel is smalll and set on a cobblestone street. We even walked to St. Severin church for Midnight mass on Christmas eve. The hallway corridors have been under repair since 2004, but this should not deter you, they have been resurfacing the plaster walls. Would definately stay here again.

Family gathering in Paris for big birthday bash

This past November, I took my daughter and met up with my brothers and mom in Paris to meet up with even MORE family for my uncles big 70th birthday party in France. My family in Paris suggested this hotel because of its location and because they knew it was decent. They were right. The place was very clean, VERY friendly staff (even to people who can't speak French) and the location is perfect. This place is right downtown Paris close to the many wonderful coffee shops and bakeries. Oh my, it makes me want to go back this very moment. I have never had a bad day in Paris even when it's rainy its beautiful.... This hotel is great and would definately rocommend it to anyone. The rooms are SMALL but very nice, very clean and the beds are very comfy. Much nicer than I had expected! 2 people per room is about max unless you upgrade to a larger room but then that only comes with a couch that opens up to be a bed. Bathrooms are very clean, I cant remember much in extras so bring all your toiletries. If you stay there you won't be disappointed unless your a fancy world traveler that demands the biggest and best of rooms. Otherwise this place is perfect!

we have tried to stay here the last two trips to Paris. this time we made it. don't bother with the 10 euro breakfast here, there are too many other places around the corner. staff was very helpful and polite, especially xxx. the hotel also has a house cat who "guards" the reception area. i would stay here again in a heartbeat. see you next time

Great Location; terrible breakfast (not included)

There were two (out of 6) wonderful staff members to work with; others mediocre to grumpy; location can't be beat; beds were firm and comfortable; general cleaniliness okay but nothing to write home about; overall a convenient, comfortable place to stay; remember though that breakfast is not usually included and NOT worth the 10e per person; Again, kudos to those staff members of the hotel that were friendly and helpful (the 2 out of 6) -- especially getting us to the airport during the greve (transit strike); one of us would stay again -- the other feels could do better elsewhere.

This hotel is in one of the best areas of Paris - Latin Quarter. Close to the RER, restaurants, Notre Dame. The room wasn't big as in most of the European hotels but it was clean, comfortable and had a stall shower. Staff was pleasant and spoke English. I would definitely stay here again and I've already recommended it to friends.
