My experience with this hotel was the beginning of my worst nightmare. The room I booked was not available at my time of arrival. The staff was not attentive. Most of all that was the worst experience because due to the hotels negligence and poor service i slipped and fell and broke my ankle at the hotel. The service was poor because they did not even want to help me because I was from the US and I was told that I had to pay for my services in cash because they would not accept insurance. Unfortunately I now have 2 metal rods in my ankle with constant pain and ongoing regrets of ever taking that trip. Wish I would have stayed at the Westin.

This was my first time out of the country and I loved it! The hotel was great, food and room service was emaculate! Would definitely stay again! I'm actually going back this year. If your on a budget, it is better to go during the month of September, which is the "off-season" so the flight and hotel will be cheaper, but there's not as many activities during this time. Still, more than enough activities and people! The casino is right next door along with bars restaurants and souvenir shops.

this was our 3rd time there. we always loved it there,especially for the price.
we found out that there was new management. the pool always had there waterfalls on, plus umbrellas, and floats. this time they had no waterfalls,no umbrellas and no rafts.
we were very disappointed so we went to the westin,next door. to sun.
The maid service and maintenience personnel were awesome!

The staff was great overall with the exception of the front desk who werent as accomodating. The pool was very nice and the towel service is very convenient. The beach was relaxing as well as the weather being wonderful. Across the street from the hotel is the City Market. It has various restaurants and fun bars. There's live music and also karaoke on one night. The cocktails at the bar by the pool are overpriced for what you get.
Overall, it was a great vacation.
Quick vacation..Didn't like the food

My husband and I just came from a 3-day (05.27-05.30) vacation at the Sheraton Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort in the Bahamas. We had originally reserved a king sized bed, however due to a slight problem with our airline we were not able to travel on the 26th as anticipated, therefore all the ocean view rooms with king size beds were no longer available and we had no option but a double bed room.
We were enjoying the beach and the pools of the Westin, Lanai and Sheraton to the fullest.
Since we had paid for an all-inclusive package our foods and drinks were included.
The downside of it was that even thought there were 7 restaurants among the 3 hotels we were only given 1 option for both lunch and dinner which was the Prop Club. The menu is very limited and the food is not that great. I forced myself to eat there as I was not very pleased with the variety. I ate the same dish 3 times during our visit as the other plates I had were not appealing. We were given the Barracudas as option for breakfast which we enjoyed every morning with a cup of caramel latte from Starbucks.
Overall, I would give to hotel a 7 out of 10 only because the limited variety at the Prop Club. I wish we would had the option of dining at the others restaurants.
I would definitely go back one of this days. Not now, as we are thru with the Bahamas for the moment.
