Traveling with children and even by yourself this would be a great place to be. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also the food there is not bad but if you can go out do so. I know that there going to put a new resturart there which they do need to. The pools are great and theres alot to do.

Good place

Highlt reccommend for location and staff. Very kid/family friendly especially for younger children. All activities open and working, but at times for the number of guests the kids got bored waiting, but overall a very nice place. Would be nice if the shuttle to downtown pulled into the hotel instead of stopping on the street. There were, however no tennis courts as stated nor free breakfast, but niether was a big deal

Was a spontaneous trip, happy we chose this hotel!

Two of my sons and myself were on vacation this week. My husband could not come due to work conflicts. It was a spontaneous decision to travel to Lake George. Upon arriving to this Holiday Inn,we were a little earlier than we planned, but the staff at the front desk didn't even comment about it. She was able to put us right into a room. The set up of the hotel at first was a little confusing,as it was like a maze to get to the new wing, depending on the route you take to get there. We came upon a few gentlemen having a meeting in the 'common' area, and immediately one of them jumped up to help us. He escorted us to our room, opened the door for us, and showed us all the details of the room. We felt so welcome! It was the manager who kept in touch with us the whole stay, insuring we were happy. The room was BEAUTIFUL! Clean, new, ceiling fan in the bedroom, balcony overlooking the lake, large bathroom (although the toilet paper was hard to reach),digital/auto temperature setting that kept the room VERY comfortable, 2 gorgeous 32" flat screen TVs, & separate living area. The restaurant was GREAT at breakfast, but a little pricey for dinner. I would have liked to be able to have sandwich, or a less large meal selection, so to speak, in addition to such large/fancy meal choices. The hallways in the new wing were VERY hot,due to the sun/greenhouse effect. Pool was clean, great set up. Once hotel filled, it did get very noisy. Overall, a GREAT stay for us, and we WILL return again! Great location! Right near everything(walking distance!),yet JUST up the street, far enough away from traffic/ noise.

After staying at a couple Holiday Inn's for business. I was skeptical, but this property was great we usually stay at the Sagamore, but they were full. Next year it will be hard to choose which place to stay.
