Description: Best Things Nearby:
Flume Gorge attraction is about 20 minutes by car and is open all year round. It is a pay-to-see attraction, but it is nice to enter and lose yourself in such a massive and natural wonder. There are also plenty of breakfast places about three miles downtown. There is a Rite Aid and a McDonald's in town for those who need them.
Best Things About the Resort:
It has two indoor pools and two indoor hot tubs. We also liked the on-site play area for the children. For those of you who like to work out while away, they did have a gym.
Resort Experience:
We were looking to get away, and that is what we did. There weren't many people there, due to it being off-season, which we enjoyed very much. It was nice to have the multiple pools and spas, because it allowed us to go from pool to pool with our three-year-old. Their attention spans are never very long.
The staff was super. We had a wonderful view of the mountains from our balcony (the sun didn't reach over the tops until 9am!).
Town is about three miles away, which is really nice if you want to go to the store or need some supplies. We did a lot of cooking in the unit, which did have a gas fireplace in the room.
Overall, it was a great place to spend quality time with your family. If you want to do a lot of scheduled things, then this is not the place. I didn't see any activities to do at the resort, beside your own thing.
