I am writing this on behalf of my boyfriend and his friends.
They went for a guy trip June 13 - 20. They enjoyed themselves and that is what is most important but for the price that they paid they prob got what they paid for, slightly under $1k for air and all inclusive hotel.
Hotel - Clean but nothing spectaculor, pools were good, nothing to write home about.
Food - Nothing to brag about, the filet mignon was a hamburger. They could not even get the pizza right.
Staff - Like my title states, staff was rude or non attentive if you did not know english. Considering that you work in a hotel or run one, you would try to find people that speak a language where a good 50% of your clientele speak.
Fitness Center - Use with caution, my bf friend hurt his back.
Honeymoon Stay (One bad apple really spoils the bunch)

We booked this resort because of value and star rating. We got to the resort at 12pm Sunday, were greeted about average and the staff person at the time checked us in anyways but assumed we wanted a bigger room and not the honeymoon suite (that was booked). All the honeymoon package gifts were not given to us, and were not explained properly. Anyways, they told us that if they had a honeymoon suite they would switch the room. By 3:30 we went back to the front desk to inquire about the room. We saw the same employee giving a bottle of champagne to another couple, plus doing demos that we never received. By now, my wife & I are just red with anger and frustration, and feeling very unwelcome and uncomfortable at this resort. Now it was time for a supervisor; He did his best to calm us down and apologize for his co-workers actions. At 4pm Sunday, we were moved to a honeymoon suite. We went to relax and calm down on the beach. Got back to the room and they set it up honeymoon style (flowers, Jacuzzi, swan heart-shaped towels etc.). Our welcome bottle of champagne got there on Tuesday and I think the supervisor had a fruit basket delivered to our room every day. Our romantic dinner at the local seafood restaurant was double booked with a wedding reception. By time we got back to the room, there was a fruit basket & a bottle of champagne waiting in the room. Did I mention that it rained every day... The staffs on our rooms floor and in the restaurants were friendly and helpful, and made this trip bearable, the all-inclusive bar & of course my beautiful wife.

my boyfiriend and i had the best time at this resort. We had traveled to other resorts and i must say this time was for the most part the best one. The staff was very nice and definetly the entertainment was just great. I would definetly go back and recommend this resort to anyone thats ready to have a great time. The night club was very good and the staff would definetly make sure everybody is having a good time. Dont think about it, just go and you wont have no regrets.

The Barcelo Dominican Beach resort was one of the best experiences I?ve ever had. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of ... the room and the view was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a wide variety of food and recreation option.

Everything was good, Beaches are beautiful and they people was great and always friendly. Rooms are small. I like the japanese restaurant but you need reservations, it was a pleasant vacations except for the rooms size but didn't came to stay in the rooms.
I definitely come back some day.
