The April 2008 reviewer had it right; this is a nice place to base your visit to Venice on a budget. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good. The Adriatic beaches are less than a mile from the hotel and on the bus route.
Follow the directions provided in the April 2008 review to get to Lido. Buy that 1, 2 or 3 day water/bus pass; you will make good use of it. When you exit the water bus at Lido, take the A or B bus from the bus stop to the left; The bus stops in front of the hotel on Riviera San Niccolo, so it is hard to miss. Beware, the A and B pass the water bus stop twice. The bus stop to the right will get you to the hotel only after a very long bus tour of the island.
Cozy and comfy...but a walls too thin!!

extremely clean and comfortable. We will give proper directions at end of review. Hotel is not close to airport or train station. It will take you one hour to get from Venezia St Lucia....forewarning!!! The hotel was located on Lido. The service was excellent from the check in to the dining area. The continental breakfast was adequate and fresh. The coffee was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. It was nice to have a free breakfast with coffee as Europe is extremely expensive!!! The bus (A or B) to San Nicola came every 20 minutes and arrived promptly. This was very convenient. The room was immaculate. I stayed at a major chain the rest of the trip and it didn't come close to being as clean as this hotel. This hotel has gotten a bad rap. Its old but well kept. i didnt see any mold anywhere. The views were great and this hotel has my **** rating.... As for directions. If you arrive by train....get off at Venezia St Lucia. Go directly to the water taxi....the cost is 26 euro per person for 2 daysunlimited on all taxis and buses on Lido - well worth it. Take either Taxi 1 or 51 to Lido. Taxi 1 will take less time. When you get off in Lido - take the bus (A or B)to San Nicola. Get off in front of the hotel. Hotel is located in a Cul de Sac type circle turn around. If you arrive by plane. Take the Red Alaguna taxi (12 euro one way per person) to Lido directly. This is about a half hour ride with stops. These are convenient directions.....we had none and no one really gives accurate direction. Be sure to ask more than one person for directions, Get map!

The front desk guy was the worst I have seen. He upset everyone from every group that came in the door. the rooms A/C didnt work and they made no attempt to fix the problem or move my room. I do suggest staying on Lido however
