The Londra Palace is an excellent, first-class hotel well worth the rate charged. We stayed there five nights and were very pleased. Its location is great, just at the big equestrian statue of Victor Emanuel (a prominent landmark) on the main waterfront promenade where the boats for San Marco dock. This is a transport hub for most of the water bus lines and it is only about 500m from San Marco itself, and you can easily get to any part of the city from there.
The hotel staff was very attentive, friendly, and got to know us. A high standard of cleanliness and quality was present in all their operations.
The hotel restaurant was high-class gourmet and well worth a visit in itself.
