I spent a very pleasant week at this hotel. The Suite was very comfortable and very quiet. The bed was great and the 3 TV's and 3 phones were just great. I had friends that also were there part of my stay and we all enjoyed the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet was great and very affordable. I look forward to another visit to Suites Del Angel. It would have been helpful to be able to check email.

I choose this hotel for myself & 3 college-age kids. Suite was spacious for all of us, 3 tv's, kitchenette. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. Room was very clean, the bed comfortable, the sofa bed was "OK" per the boys. We felt very safe, just blocks from US Embassy. The hotel buffet was good ($8.00), lots of excellent restaurants around...and don't miss the best "steak & cheese" tacos at the kiosk at corner to the left as you exit. The kids kept wanting to eat there: 10 tacos + 4 sodas for $12 dollars! Hotel may not have 5-star amenities (spas, exercise room, pool, lobby bar,etc...but we got our exercise climbing the Sun Pyramid. Take the Turibus around town; there's a stop just 2 blocks from the hotel, it takes u all around, u get off, sightsee as long as u want, return to the Turibus Stop to catch next one. Catch Metro 1 block from the hotel, get off at famous Anthropological Museum (bus clean, roomy on this route). After Museum, cross the street and meander through Chapultepec Park, walk up to the Castle for a gloriousl view of the city. Tours booked at the front desk are great, & reasonable too. We went on a day's tour: Floating Gardens (kids loved this one), Univ of Mex campus, San Angelo district, Frieda Kahlo's house: Price $25.00 p/person. Bottled water sold at every corner. Highly recommend hotel for friendly staff, cleanliness, roomy bathroom, security & location: my 5-stars.

Will Stay Again !!!

Our hotel was great. If you don?t mined the honking horns of the street below. Our room was as clean as it could be. The furnishings were a little old, but for the value and location it was perfect. The best part about this hotel was the employees. They were very helpful with all our bazaar request. The attached restaurant was very good and convenient, with the same helpful staff. I would highly recommend this hotel for regular people.

Great deal for nice hotel - recommended

Enjoyed a nice stay in Suites Del Angel for a family vacation. Location is nice - on a quiet street, felt quite safe, with easy access to restaurants and Metro (best deal to get around at 20 cents a ride anywhere). Easy 15 min walk to Bosque Chapultepec. If you can't handle a 10 minute walk to the subway, then you should stay on the other side of Paseo Reforma! Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Kids slept in living room on a fold out couch bed which was also fine. Staff was nice and helpful getting us tickets to the Folklore Ballet (highly recommended) and a tour to Teotihuacan (recommend going there but not necessarily with the hotel suggested tour - it's hassle free, but the guide, Manuel, wasn't all that informative). Room service was quick enough. Sitio taxi stand is just outside and staff can always call a taxi for you. Costs about $9-10 to get to Zocalo via taxi (we went to Cafe Tacuba - also recommended) and $15 to get back to the airport. Didn't try the hotel restaurant as there are plenty of restaurants in Zona Rosa and we had breakfast many mornings at the Pasteleria Alcazar two blocks west on Rio Lerma. We were generally out all day, but the suites are spacious enough for all four of us to relax comfortably after a long day tramping around. Kids had fun with the spa/tub.

very good value

I was apprehensive about Mexico City but the trip was really great. And part of the satisfaction was from the hotel with very spacious rooms and its location is formidable. The only problem was on the Travel agency site I was not able to request 2 separate beds but the king-size bed is so big and comfortable it didn't matter in the end. The staff is very helpful and proactive-they informed me about daylight saving time, otherwise I would have missed my flight! I went to Teotihuacan with my elderly mom and it involves a lot of walking with little shade so what I suggest is to leave very elderly people in the hotel or in the tour bus which is what I did. I suggest that you take a taxi to go to the Museum of anthropology which is only a five dollar ride instead of paying $40 for the city tour and the museum tour. Around the corner, near the monument there is a department store Sanborns with very good food at reasonable prices.
