Our Stay was in Feb. 2009. We had read some bad reviews about the hotel beds being too hard. That was not really the case, the beds are traditionaly firm, mexican style matress' not fluffy american. And thats why we go to mexico, to experiance it. We also read that the place was rundown and the staff unfriendly. This also turned out to be untrue. The hotel was in very good shape and clean, they are on the beach so the sand on the walkway near the lobby is totally acceptable to us. We cannot give enough praise to the staff. Everyone from the person we met at check-in to the lady that cleaned our rooms, very friendly people, most as well are multi-lingual. They had a lot of patience with my guedo español!
The pool was great, I used it every day as well as the beach and ocean. A free walking tour of the area given buy a nice young man gave us a lot of history about where we were staying and was a big help later when we went out on our own to explore. We had some reservation issue's due to our on-line booking but they took care of that without any stress and when we decided to stay longer than planned, the only room available was the penthouse, which the gave to us at a discount.
Very wonderful stay and we are going back soon and taking friends with us as well.
Almost forgot, the food was great at the breakfast with traditional mexican and a great chef for your eggs cooked to order while you watch!
great stay and great staff

The rooms were really clean and the staff was excellent (especially the bar tenders, a tall guy and his little wife were awesome!). the food was pretty good and the drinks were excellent. the only bad part is that the pool is FREEZING. we live in mexico and that water was cold, we never even went in it. other than that it was wonderful.
