It was AMAZING!!!!

We just returned from a stay at Dreams July 6-July 11, 2009, and we really enjoyed ourselves! Before we left to come home we were trying to figure out when we could return!!! The facility was wonderful; large enough to offer many amenities but small enough that you didn't need to walk far to get to any location. We tried all but one of the restaurants and had amazing meals in each! (We didn't get to the Asian Grill as the menu didn't appear appetizing to our kids.) The staff was very accomodating and the promptness of the service was outstanding! They also offer items such as fresh fruit and small meals beach/lagoon-side during the day. The resort is conveniently located near the shopping and night life but when you are on the resort's property you do not feel like you are surrounded by a bustling city as it is quiet and spacious. A short walk or taxi ride will get you to the markets and malls, along with the many "American" restaurants for a change of pace. Our room was located in the building adjacent to the dolphin lagoon so we were able to wake up and go sit on our balcony and watch the dolphins swim and play. It was truly amazing!!!! Our son's room was located on the ocean side and it felt like you could throw a stone into the waves. I don't feel any room location would be a bad one! When you are there be sure to make friends with the staff as they are really great people!

A large group of us recently visited Dream Cancun for a wedding. We had a fabulous time. The resort grounds are imaculent and the wait staff was exceptional. the resteraunts were ecellent and offered a good varity. We were traveling with small children and found the resort to be kid friendly, safe, and full of activities. We will return one day to continue this Dream vacation. The wedding was beutiful if your considering a destination wedding I think you've found the spot! Swimming with the Dolphins is a MUST!!!

Staff was always cleaning and very nice. I've stayed in other all inclusives and the food was not that good but Dreams food was fresh and different each day.

Family Vacation to the Dreams Cancun Resort

Overall, our family vacation was a lot of fun. We upgraded to the Ocean/Dolphin view room, which was worth the money because of our two kids. The kids loved the dolphins right outside their window, every morning they would go and sit on the balcony and watch the dolphins play. My daughter and I went to the spa. It was a wonderful experience. They pampered us and made us feel so welcomed. The resort is really nice, the room services was excellent. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was the beach and entertainment. I have been to Cancun/Dominican Rebuplic four times and I was really looking forward to some cool shows and fun things for the kids but didn't experience any. The beach was full of sea weed and not very big but we were on the tip of Cancun. The rooms were clean and nice. The pool is ok compared to other resort pools I have been in. The food was pretty good. So overall, it is a very nice resort just wished the entertainment was more exciting.

It was a family getaway for us, 1st time in Cancun, with 2 kids we got all we can handle. Our room was ocean front on the ground floor, kids love it they can walk to the beach in 2 minutes and see a few friendly lizzards 40 feet away sun bating on the rocks. Room were nice for a 20+ year old hotel, but sure can use some upgrade to the old TV, doors, bath etc... There are 40 channels, but American like us have very very few channels to watch, not even my favorite sport and news channels, i wish i speak Spanish, lol. However, Service is superior, very First classed, staff are everywhere and friendly. Food were 7 out of 10, the sushi place is a Joke, especially sashimi, but service there were excellent too. The BIG flip side is pool, just too SMALL, a resort this size can accommodate a much larger pool. The hotel is 10 mins walk to the night clubbing area, area flea markets are too expensive and make sure you negotiate well. We went to "Blue Ray Jungle Tour" which was a JOKE and waste of $, the boats were old and smelly, staffs were lazy, spot where we snorkel were far way, left us with 30 mins for snorkeling! the "Aqua World" activities were much BETTER! try the SubMarine and sky boat which were a blast! Overall, the Dreams resort was great for family outings, but not 4 stars, i probably try a newer resort next time.
