Great place to stay

Stayed at the Alexandra Resort for 6 nights...great place. My daughter and I had a Deluxe Studio Oceanview room in the main building where check-in takes place. The room was great, although a little small. The room had a small kitchen with small fridge/microwave/toaster/coffee pot. Very nice to have this available since dining out can be very expensive. Stopping by the local IGA to pick up basic food items/coffee helped keep the costs down. View was fantastic, overlooking the pool/garden area and a nice oceanview. The balcony is a decent size with a small table and chairs and a lounge chair. The staff was very nice and accomodating. The onsite dining was OK...not many vegetarian options. I'm sure if I ate seafood/meat, I would have offered a better rating on the dining option. I would highly recommend The Alexandra Resort to anyone who visits the Turks and Caicos. Very reasonably priced and a great location.

Nice Resort

The Alexandra Resort is a nice resort, you can opt for their meal plan, which is reasonable since it's not an all inclusive resort. The staff in the Resturant/Bar area were very friendly and lots of fun. The rooms there, if you get on the top floor, they are Very Nice! The floors are all tiled, has a beautiful kitchen, the bedrooms are very nice, the beds and bedding were wonderful. The suite we had was a 2 bdrm, 2 1/2 bath seperated by the living room. The living room as well as both bedrooms had double sliding doors leading out onto the balcony, with some nice patio furnishings. It had a washer/dryer as well, and it was down a small hallway where the 1/2 bath was located. It sits right on Grace Bay, so you're just steps away from the beautiful beach and waters of the Turks & Caicos. Would recommend chartering private boats to take you to the different cays, such as Pine Cay, Parrot Bay and Ft George. We charted boats there on 3 or 4 different days, don't regret it a bit.

A great place to visit. The beaches are all they say you will not be disapointed. Food mostly local caught fish was very fresh and quite good. The boat trip from hotel includes snorkling and conch catching which will become part of your lunch was a real treat, worth the cost. Staff OK but not a strong customer satisfaction attitude, its just business. Would recommend and would go again. Have been to more than 30 Islands and many Mexican resorts in the way of background. Not inexpensive but remember all imports, not local grown or raised.

GREAT LOCATION

Great Location. Nice property. Quality of furnishings differ among buildings. Bldg 2 Ocean Front-upscale furnishings.Bldg. 3 ocean/garden view furnishings not as upscale. Restuarant is average-ok for breakfast/lunch but excellent restaurants are within walking distance up the beautiful beach. No/limited beachside food/drink service. Excursion Co. located beachside. Expansion construction non-intrusive.
