You Get What You Pay For In Georgetown

The Pegasus is expensive, but worth it if you have the means. The rooms are nice, spacious, and clean. The pool is large, well maintained, and flanked by a nice restaurant. The staff - for the most part - are professional and courteous. The lobby area is spacious, and the grounds are very secure.

Usually, I steer clear from these types of hotels when traveling...I prefer hotels that reflect more of the local culture within a community. In Georgetown, however, it's tough to find good mid-range hotels. I had an awful experience in Hotel Tower, and my girlfriend stayed at the Cara Lodge after I left Guyana, where she characterized the lodging as mediocre at best.

The Pegasus costs more, sure. But in Georgetown, you get what you pay for. Next time I'm in the capital, I'll be at the Pegasus.

This was the best vacation.

Meridian Pegasus is an awesome hotel. Poolside dining is most wonderful. It is breezy and the atmosphere is superb. Fine dining is awesome also. The business center offers all types of services and the gym is fully equipped. We really enjoyed the gym and the pool. The staff was most pleasant and we all felt safe at this hotel. Everyone should try this hotel.

The Pegasus was at one time considered to be the best in Georgetown. Now the hotel looks aged and is in need of a total face lift. Rooms - turn off the air con and you get a wet surface from the floor tiles. Needs carpet!!! Bathroom ceiling also dripped with condensation when the Air Con was turned off
