We had our wedding at Beaches Resort in Boscobel Oooooh My GOD!!!!!!!. Our wedding was spotless from start to finish. Thanks to Barbie in the Wedding Department and Our Wedding Coordinator Kamesha wow she did such a fantastic job. She made our dreams come through, She was their from start to end. She was a blessing in disguise, I was so nervous and she held my hand, she made me felt rest assured that all will be well and it was , from my decor to the reception, dinner and wedding arrangements, she did it all. A special thanks to the hotel manager Ms. Caroline she also did a tremendous job. She attended to our every bit of concerns that we had , when dealing with her and her beloved staff we felt as if we never left home. She gave us a strong sense and feel of belonging. To the photograhers that captured our precious moment you guy's did a tremendous job. I love my digital album it was well put together. To the bartenders that served at our reception they never failed excellent job again.
In so many words I thank you for your hospitality and the outstanding work that Beaches Boscobel and it'sextended family did for my wedding. You made this day a memorable and definetely an unforgettable one.

What a renovation!! Water slides, a petting zoo, you name it, this place has it..The staff were friendly, food was amazing and all you could think of is fun, fun and more fun awaits you at this place. Get a little bored, then why not go down to the beach where you can take a tour in the hotel's glass bottom boat!! That is magnificent!!..go on...enjoy!!

Resort Experience:
I stayed at Beaches Boscobel All-Inclusive Resort, and I was very impressed. We were to be married there, and my husband and I had five others accompany us. We had a standard ocean view room, which they upgraded complementary to a concierge room. Wonderful! The staff was nothing but pleasant and helpful to us. They had several tours leaving the resort on a daily basis, which you could arrange near the front desk. SCUBA (if you're certified) and water sports were also free. The beach was a bit small, but most of the children stayed near the pools. This made the beach the place to be for me. They had wonderful evening entertainment nightly, complete with an adults-only disco in the late evening. The food was wonderful, especially the seafood buffet that was being served weekly when we went. Make note that there are several stray, but friendly, cats that roam the property. If you are highly allergic to cats, keep this in mind. The only other thing that may bother some travelers is the local employees they hire to complete their remodeling in the off-season. They were very "oogly" towards me, for the most part. The resort was spectacularly clean!

Beaches Boscobel

We wanted something fun and exotic, something away from the US borders, and we chose Ocho Rios. We opted Beaches as it was advertised to be a all-inclusive, family-oriented, fully contained resort of unquestionable quality.

It was all those things, but to a lesser degree. As it turns out, Beaches offers resorts on a continuum, and the less you pay the less you get. Also, if you go in a less popular time, you can expect to see a lot of the amenities and features limited, closed down, or out for repair (literally).

If you say at Boscobel, beware... You can't plan a 5-day trip as being that. When you fly into Monterey Bay you have a nearly three hour drive to the resort, so you've basically lost your first day, and equally, the same back - so a 5-day vacation is actually 3 days at the resort. Plan accordingly. And bring lots of entertainment for those long drives, my kids had their gameboys and lots of batteries (thank God).

We were disappointed by the size of the room, but delighted it was literally on the beach. We were excited to see all the activities and restaurants, but soon found out they were most often closed, or infrequently available/open.

The breakfast buffet was a nightmare, in the US it would have been closed down for sure as a health hazard (I grew up in the restaurant business and will attest to this), and the "fine dining" that was only open one night, was not anything special or tasty. I can testify their pool-side snack bar, which was most often open had the best food and service at the resort. The barbecue, chicken, fruit plates, and everything they produced was top-notch.

A bit of another warning... The "beachfront" you can walk along is really a cove that will not be something you can really stroll along, that too was pretty misrepresented (like the travel time, restaurants and features open). But the water is warm and beautiful and my kids enjoyed it nevertheless. What is novel was the vendors who float in boats just outside the resort selling their wares, we had fun shopping with them and the ones in shacks alongside the resort bay (although admittedly, the quality and price was better at the resort gift shop).

I opted for this Beaches location for the free golf and lessons, the "zoo," and the water park, but the water park was never open (although always promised), the "zoo" was dirty, minimal and disgusting, and although the golf was available daily IF you could get a ride there, the lessons were Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - and since we came in on Monday, left on Friday, we only had Wednesday to take lessons - not what the reservationist represented.

I wouldn't be fair if I didn't mention the X-Box game room my 7-year old son will not forget and could not stay out. It was perfect, as was the Arts and Crafts room, and pool activities.
