Our Wedding and Honeymoon at Sandals Dunn's River Were Perfect!

My husband and I stayed at Sandals Dunn's River from 09/24/09-10/04/09. We were married on 09/27/09 with 36 of our closest friends and family there with us! Our experience at SDR was more than I could have ever imagined. Our wedding was beautiful under the flower covered beach hut. Sharleen, our wedding coordinator made sure every detail was just as we wanted it. Starr, our photographer took the perfect pictures to memorialize our wedding day! The staff at SDR go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant and perfect as possible! I would recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Jamaica or wanting to do a Destination Wedding!!! It definitely is IRIE MON!

This was our first stay at a Sandals, and is certainly will not be our last. The staff is terrific and do their best to make your stay enjoyable.
My wife and I played two rounds of golf at the Sandals Country Club. If you are a golfer, it is a fun course to play. There is even a short pitch and putt course at the Dunn River property that we played several times.
The resort offers many water sports. The snorkeling was very good and the Hobie Cats were easy to sail.
We absolutely loved it !

Had a great time. The staff gave us cold wet cloths and a drink as we got off the bus.That was a nice touch. The wait staff were very helpful and pleasant. It was well worth the money for all you could eat and drink. The shows were very funny and entertaining. We are now planning a Sandals trip to St. Lucia next winter. The only thing i wish was different , would be the bed. It was a king but im so used to my Kingsdown. It was not the most comfortable bed.

My husband and I just returned from Dunn's River for our 10 year anniversary. It was very relaxing, good food and a nice room. We weren't in the room very much because the pool and beach were so nice. we also did a few excursions. The spa is great for a massage! The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Definitely try the Jamaica Smile drink!!

Went for vacation and had a great time. The property is very nice. The room we stayed in faced the ocean and we upgraded for the Jacuzzi tub and room service; well worth it. Can't beat breakfast on your balcony overlooking the ocean every morning. We drink a lot so the all inclusive, especially the mini-bar, paid off. You have to try the Jamaican Smile...
The staff was GREAT! We actually kept wondering if all Jamaicans are this friendly or is it because they have to be for work.
The food was good. We paid to have the candlelight dinner on the beach and it was absolutely our best meal. Our other meals were good, though they never were exceptional. We recommend a local Jerk shack that is about a 5 minute cab ride from the resort. Just ask the staff were to get the best Jerk chicken from and they will all tell you Scotches.
The beach is a little small and there are jet skis flying around out there. We likened it to the Wild West. Though, if we really wanted a secluded beach we wouldn't have gone to such a populated and tourist trap island like Jamaica. There are other islands for seclusion, but I could see how it would upset some people.
The best excursions do cost, and they are not cheap. However, considering how much this was and what we got for it we thought it was a great value, we had a great time, ate too much, drank even more, relaxed as much as we wanted to, enjoyed a beautiful water and weather, and would recommend it.
