Fun in the sun

My first vacation to Mazatlan. Hotel Playa Mazatlan was a recommendation by friend. I will definitely stay again. The rooms, grounds, pools/spa and beach are clean. Food/drinks are good, including the poolside cafe (separate owners from hotel). Staff for both are friendly and accomodating.
Hotel Playa Mazatlan
This hotel is so beautiful. We had a partial ocean view room, which was more than we expected. The staff was amazing and very friendly. Our Spanish was terrible but they would figure out whatever we wanted. The price was so reasonable and the location was unbeatable. While we were there they were working on the beach, which made for an interesting show, but nonetheless it was beautiful. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing, you can't beat the view, and the food is some of the best in Mazatlan.

We enjoyed out stay at Playa Mazatlan. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great by the Ocean. Wonderful view from the room. Beach was great. Location was in the middle of everything. Would definetly go back. We loved Mazatlan

"Well let's start with the possitives. The hotel looked nice, was well kept, and had great beach access. That's about it. Bed and pillows were as hard a rock. The walls are very thin, if you like people scraming at 5am this is your place. Staff at the restraunt was poor. Alot of wird rules that do not make any since. When you ask to see the manager no one is to be found. Would not stay here againg. "

Playa Mazatlan Hotel was a very disapointing experience for my family and I. Most upsetting was customer service primarily in the restaurant and bar. Complaints and concerns were not addressed adequately by the food and beverage manager. Restaurant rules and procedures seem at best arbitrary and random. With so many other great accomodations in Mazatlan why stay here?
