The hotel was awesome, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The views of the ocean are wonderful and the room was comfortable. We never ate at the hotel but probably should have the prices looked fair. If you want to get something to drink/eat for a snack the oxxo across the street is your best bet ... the hotel is outrages on their prices for the drinks in your in room bar. Don't eat at the Chilli's, ( I ordered a well done burger and got a raw one sent it back and got another raw one....) The Hooters wasn't any good either... RainForest Cafe was a good spot and located just down the street... If you want to go shopping at Market 28 walk down a couple of blocks and get on the bus! 7 peso's instead of 120 for a cab ride.. The hotel was located near all of this stuff and was an awesome place to stay.! Would Stay again for Sure Very nice Hotel !!!
Enjoyable experience

The guest rooms were decorated in a modern sophisticated decor. We had a wonderful view of the beach and Caribbean Sea. There was a wonderful breakfast buffet offered every morning, and the pool area was fabulous, there was something for all, whether you were in the mood to swim or just lounge on the in-pool chaise, covered love seats, or the cabana beds available with a sea front view, we tried them all and loved every minute. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to a return trip.

Hotel was nice and would stay there again. A few notes to warn others; South side of hotel gets rather noisy at night from partys down the way. You will hear doors slam very often throughout the hotel, because the breeze from open patio doors catches the front door and slams it closed. It took us a day or two to realize that was the noise we would hear once in a while. The view from this hotel is the best of any on the east side of the hotel zone. No beach for this hotel, but you can walk north to the Dream and use theirs. They charge for coffee packets in the room after your 1st night. We never had to pay for coffee, because our room service person would refill after we complained.

This is a great hotel. Close to great restaurants and nightlife. The lack of beach is the only downfall. The food is great and prices are reasonable. The views from the rooms are awesome and the service is top notch. If you want to walk out of your room and sit on the beach, this place would not be for you, but if you want to stay at a first class hotel that is reasonable price in a great location with great service, I would highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Cancun. Upgrade to Regency club for private check in and nice breakfast & coctail hour - worth the small additional cost.
Beautiful hotel inside and out..

The room was very comfortable and stylish with a lovely balcony to enjoy the ocean view. The pool and spa areas were gorgeous. Food was great The staff were very polite. With it's unique architecture with rooms facing out to a circular atrium, it seemed like a very safe arrangement for travelers. No long closed hallways here. My one problem was with a broken phone and getting it fixed took too long. Next time I would ask to change my room rather than wait for a repair to happen, , I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
