Excellent Property

We only stayed one night after coming from Barcelona but this hotel exceeded expections. The front desk was especially helpful with a problem that had followed us from Barcelona. We lost our money at the hands of a pick pocket at the Barcelona Train station. The hotel staff even called a cab that accepted credit card that we used for the airport ride.

decent value for money

A decent hotel, good values for money, decent price room. It has internet access (that's not really regular in Spain), even though the plan is not flexible (minutes you buy you have to use then in one session, basically).Hotel is not really for tourists - it is way too far from old city and museums.

The rooms were nothing special, but the location was convenient to the metro and many places to walk to for eating and shopping. The Big Blue restaurant is nothing special, so you should go out to enjoy the real Madrid. There are nicer hotels with more ambiance, but the hotel is nothing to complain about...

This hotel is centrally located on the Gran Via, Madrid's main thoroughfare. We were lucky to have a room facing the street. It had a beautiful view of the Palacio Real and the plaza across the street. Here, street vendors sell ice cream out of their little trucks. It seems like a throwback to the days when life was simple and any problems could be fixed with an ice cream!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Walk around the corner to arrange for a car rental from Europcar (or any other car company - there are several in the vicinity). It costs approximately US$65 for the day. Drive to Segovia and to Toledo. Although they are in separate directions, it is well worth the trip. By hitting the road early, around 8am, you will be able to make it to both spots.
