Still my favorite place to stay

  • October 16, 2007

I have had the good fortune of staying at the Rose about 7 times the past 6 years, and I have never been disappointed in my visits. It is wonderfully located on the best part of Madano beach, with lots of beach action and plenty of activities. The rooms are nice with great views of "lands end", and the pool is spectacular. The best part of the Rose is the service. We are helped with all of our needs, and are greeted like good friends every time we come back to the hotel from an outing. Whether I am with my wife for a romantice vacation (the Sunset Beach is great for that too) or with my boys on a father/sons fishing trip, this hotel is my favorite place to stay. Thank you staff, at the Rose. I am already looking forward to my next stay with you.

Great Family Spot

Stayed here with family which includes 4 children and we had a great time!!! It is the oldest and smallest of the Pueblo Bonito Family but I appreciate that the pool was never over crowded and neither was their beach area. Food in Cabo is generally very expensive!! Pueblo Bonito's prices were very good and their children's menu cannot be beat!!! $* for a good sized cheeseburger and fries, that's the same as McDonalds! I ordered plenty of pool side meals and they were both very tasty and affordable. It seems that the hotel is constantly being cleaned and it smells that way also which is something I can appreciate. Mexican Fiesta theme night was so much fun and their food was great!! Yes a lot of people complain about the whole timeshare pushing but it's really well worth it you get room credit and you get to see the sister resorts, I did end up purchasing a timeshare because I felt it was well worth it and plan on returning. My family & I felt very safe and appreciated at this hotel, and if it weren't for purchasing a timeshare I would definetly come back!!!

If you like extortion, try the Pueblo Bonito Rose

Overall, the facility is fairly decent. However, if you have any intention of going out at night you should consider a different resort. The security staff will take every opportunity to hassle you for "additional fees" as you come back from a night in Cabo. It was ridiculous and we're not going back. Ever.

MAYBE A 3 STAR HOTEL, NOTHING LUXURY

This hotel is 20 years old which was remodeled 3 years ago. This is advertised as a luxury resort on the web. There is nothing luxury about this hotel except the view. This is a resort with rude staff members. Everything is $$$ for this hotel with molds and cracked tiles in the bath. They charge like a 5 star hotel but the facility is not to the standards. This is a time share get away that you should not have to pay $$$.

Blanco was not the most expensive or "elite" of the Pueblo Bonito resorts, but we chose it based on traveler reviews and were NOT disappointed! After having experienced all three Pueblo Bonito resorts while in Cabo, we believe we made the best choice. Sunset Beach was beautiful, but you can't get in the ocean there. Efficient check-in. Spotless lobby/rooms/facilities. Great pool with awesome poolside food and beverage service (Margarito is awesome server!). Room was well appointed and comfy and it was fun to have towels and toilet paper folded into flowers and animals! Loved the flamingos in the courtyard! Food at restaurants was good. Concierge made everything easy. All personnel were friendly and eager to assist. In fact, a couple of the guys who worked near the pool partied with us one night at Cabo Wabo - we loved it! Fiesta Night was great fun. No complaints whatsoever. Not too difficult to get chairs near pool. Beach was clean and nice, although water was unexpectedly very cold and vendors are very annoying. The hotel can't control this because it's a public beach, and while we appreciate that these people are just trying to make a living, it was relentless. We tried to lay out on the beach, but after 20 minutes we'd been approached by at least a dozen vendors so we gave up and went back to the pool. This was the only downside to the whole vacation. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. We had a great time!
