needs another outside resroom near the pool

"We found the hotel very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The evening shows need some work as they lacked variety but the participants did work hard to make it enjoyable for all. The hotel served no tequilla which was verysurprising. The tennis courts were awesome, well kept and easy to reserve. We have been to Puerta Plata twice before this and found this hotel the best so far."

If you are planning to visit Dominican republic go to Punta Cana instead unless you don't want to talk to anyone. The place was pretty empty. We got extremely sick for 5 days (I lost 8 Lbs), don't drink/eat anything that contains water, like fruits, shrimp or frozen drinks. Scuba diving was good and ATVs but you have to pay for everything. Don't go in Novemver it rained all week long.

Resort appears nice looking but when it comes to reality, it is far from that. Room service is very poor, there is no soap, just a container with gel for all uses. Towels are not very clean, and they only provide a couple for the day. Beach towels: one per stay until you leave, and you better return it or you have to pay for it. Staff is one good thing, they are very pleasant, nice people. Meals: not that good, poor choices.

The Puerto Plata Village Caribbean all-inclusive beach resort is an excellent choice for an island get away! Very clean and scenic property, excellent food and very courteous staff. Could'nt ask for a better vacation!!
