Check In was very unorganized everyone was scattered around. When they say check In is at 3:00pm they really mean it. We had to wait 2 hours just to have a room. The room was so cheap looking, sheets, covers bathroom was very moldy smelling cracks all over the walls VERY CHEAP!!! The beach was soo small for a hotels that has a capacity to fill upto hundred of people it was very very small and not nice at all. The service was ok you get a hello here and there but it seems as it was a forceful greeting.

Grounds are very nice! This is the only nice thing about this hotel. Snorkeling stunk, No fish! Beach was nice. Food is ok. I took by 18 month old with me and the only time they serve milk suitable to drink is in the morning. The refrigerator in the room is not cold enough to keep milk. Service stunk, If I had to do over I would choose a hotel closer to more activities. Also make sure you choose an airport close to the hotel where you are staying. There is an airport in La Romana which would have been better to go to than Punta Canta.
Casa Del Mar - Not Just Rooms...

Casa Del Mar is an all inclusive hotel located on the South Coast of the Dominican Republic in the LaRomana/Bayahibe area.
It is located on a lovely white beach, with some of the best snorkeling right in front of the resort.
You can walk into the village of Bayahibe from the resort.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and well serviced by the staff.
The food is delicious, plentiful, and fresh in the buffet and three á la carte restaurants.
There is a wonderful animation team to help keep folks both busy and entertained. There is a show in the evening at the theater, a movie for kids and adults at either the beach or pool. A managers party, and a beach party are part of the welcoming charm of Casa Del Mar.
Also, they have two spas—one in the main area, and another in the jungle known as the Ecospa. It is located over a natural spring, it is quite calm and lovely.
