AVOID HOTEL WANDL

Ranks as one of the biggest rip offs I have ever experienced with travel. Great web site, photos of antique filled rooms, good public spaces entice. What gets delivered however is
a large but shabby and non descript YMCA type room regardless of whatever you may have a confirmed reservation for. Kiind of a switch and bait technique.
The physical plant is marvelous and if the owners had any inkling oof customer service they would turn this into a jewel instead of a strictly "rake in the money" operation.
There were some nice staff at the desk all supervised by a cross man at the desk running things in a snooty manner. THere are so much better choices within a block or so.
GREAT PLACE WATCH YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hotel is old, could use some renovations. Breakfast was good. Great location. We had suite with balcony, was nice. Only real problem was security. We came back from day of siteseeing, got cleaned up, went out to dinner and discovered $475.00 missing from wifes luggage. Told front desk and recieved no help.

This moderately priced hotel is located in the heart of Vienna (right behind the Church St. Peters). It is family run and is very charming (e.g.rooms are different sizes and designs). You are just steps away from the St. Stephens Cathedral.
