Hotel Inglaterra Barcelona

The Hotel Inglaterra was everything we hoped for, modern, convenient, and friendly. The staff was welcoming and spoke good English. The cleaning staff did a very good job every day. The rooms were spotless and very modern. The bathroom was large and had a very nice shower, and there were two generously sized bath towels that were twice the size of normal towels. In the deep bath tub, I took a bubble bath every day.

My only complaint would be that the bed was rather uncomfortable. We asked for a double room and ended up with two single beds pushed together, not good for a romantic trip, not good for cuddling!

The hotel has a great location. It is really close to Las Ramblas, Barri Gotic, Raval, without actually being IN any of those districts and their subsequent noise. It is also walking distance to the Passeig De Gracia. It is near the metro stop Universitat and Plaza Catalunya, so you could easily go to outlying areas.

Central Location, Great Value

The hotel decor is very modern and is super clean. The location is superb; literally in the center of everything. The hotel is located off of Placa de Catalunya, which is right at the top of Las Ramblas and right at the bottom of Passig de Gracia. Cafe Vienna, located directly next door to the hotel, was an excellent place for breakfast, lunch, a snack or even a light dinner. The convenient location made it possible to stop off at the hotel to use the restroom or to drop off shopping bags. This hotel was an excellent value for the money and I highly recommend it.

Great trip. Hotel is very nice with great location La Ramblas and metro. Rooms were very nice. No in-room coffee and no washcloths. Staff was helpful. Breakfast mediocre.

What a great hotel! Is very close to central Barcelona,if taking the airport shuttle bus, you can walk there from P.Catalunya, but the hotel is closer to the University stop. The best was the rooftop terrace where you can relax in the middle of the city, but there is no bar there. Thanks so much for your wonderful hospitality!!

Perfect!!

I travelled to Bcn with my best friend in September. The Inglaterra is a fantastic small boutique hotel, near plaza Catalunya & Las Ramblas. Is very stylish, confortable beds, plasma tv, modern bathrooms (with hairdryer), and the rooftop is a peaceful oasis inside the city. For the girls, there were plenty of plugs in the room, plenty wardrobe space, drawers,mirrors.. I was worried that the rooms was next to the lift but bever heard the lift once. breakfast was excellent!I only have compliments for the entire staff of the hotel, they'we so kind and helpful with us. We'll return!
