It is a nice-enough hotel, but just not as impressive as we had been led to believe by the travel sites we visited before we booked. The first problem we had was that we were in a room next to a rather noisy elevator. Our room also didn't have much natural light - the one window had a view of the car park, partly obscured by a fire escape.
However, the major disappointment was the swimming pool, which was one of the reasons we picked this hotel and something most of the guides raved about. All the photos we had seen of it had been taken from a very deceptive angle - in reality, it was tiny, and we felt a bit foolish having gone up to the roof hoping to get some exercise in it.
Breakfast wasn't included with our room, and it seemed very expensive in comparison with the numerous decent cafés nearby.
Its central location did, however, make it a good base from which to explore the rest of the city.
