Disappointed

The room I reserved was not available due to water damage. They tried to stick me, my son, and my parents in a room with one bed and a small futon and then would not provide an extra comforter for the futon. They eventually moved us to a larger room (with out beach access which is the only reason I selected this hotel). When I went to get my receipts that they told me I could not get until check out no one was available and I had to leave without them. I would defiantly never book this hotel again. As a side note; the complimentary breakfast was not ready at 7:00 and there was smoke billowing from the kitchen which did not make it seem worth waiting for.

We were impressed by the internet description and few pictures of the place. We were distressed that the room was not ready ie they forgot us and had to shift people's rooms around when we arrived. We then were impressed by the quality of the furnishings of the room. We realized that it is a work in progress and that the poor quality of the door to the room and it's security features were bad and the slider bathroom door got off track first thing were part of "the deal". However, the friendliness of the staff, quality of service from that point, good food, closeness to beach, ability to bring our small dog, etc. made us treasure this trip immensely. We made reservations to return already. We look forward to their upgrading the doors and so forth. The spa on the balcony was wonderful and the beach was not busy with people. The bedding and guest robes were first rate. It was a really relaxing and fun time.
