Great beach

The beach and pool are great, a few too many kids, but it was ok.

I went to the azteca with my mom aunts and cousins...it was a girls trip and it was amazing! we had so much fun i can't wait to return! the 24 hr bar was great and the beach is beautiful

The buffet food was awful.We attempted to make reservations at restaurants but was told on 6/16 they were all booked except for Bamboo6/17.On 6/18 we asked again about LaScala and was able to get in.Our reservation was at 6:30 and only 3 other tables were occupied.I feel the hotel tries to get people to only eat at the buffet by saying the restaurants are filled.We checked the other restaurants each evening and they wereonly half-full.We paid an all-inclusive fee which included dining at the restaurants.What we paid did not justify the room,drinks and only buffet for each day.
It couldn't have been more perfect.

Reading reviews, I was afraid the hotel was lame but when we got there it couldn't have been better. The atmosphere, activities, and yes, the food was good. The buffet was different every night and there's 2 first class restaurants to reserve also. I recommend the ATV jungle tour, snorkeling at Xcaret park, and visiting Tulum ruins. Ride the bus there instead of doing tour= less cost and >adventure. Town's close and you can take their bikes to save walking. The staff's exceptional/befriended everyone. There's a new fun show every night/always something to do.

The hotel was located in Playacar with other hotels. Very beautiful area next to Playa del Carmen. Azteca was the smallest and not as plush but very nice. We did not want to leave, I would stay there again!
