Buyer Beware

I purchased the reservation via Orbitz for what seemed like a good deal ($100/night for a 4 night stay=$400). When I arrived at the hotel, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to a larger room and was quoted $100 (plus taxes) for the whole stay and was asked to sign a credit card voucher (standard procedure). When I checked out of the hotel, I was told that the room upgrade was $100 PER NIGHT. When I spoke to the manager, he was rude and stated that I must have misunderstood. This was blatantly wrong, as I am fluent in Spanish. So beware of predatory business practices with this hotel and their staff. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT!

A little gem

The rooms are small, but they are very clean, great decor, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. The location is also terrific. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I needed to go to the american embassy in Mexico City, and I wanted a hotel close to it. This was a very good choice. Good price, and within walking distance of the places I wanted to go to (Alameda, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Zocalo, American Embassy). The staff was very friendly and they answered all the questions promptly and accurately. They also have free internet, which was great because I forgot to print a form I needed at the embassy, and I just filled it in my room and went to the business center to print it.

Wonderful Stay

We just spent a wonderful week at the Hotel Emporio Reforma. The staff was courteous and gracious, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the food was great. They made us feel like part of the family. I don't know what else a person could want for in a stay in Mexico. If the staff was not fluent in English, they found someone that was. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. If you needed ideas of places to visit around the area, they could help you book an excursion and offer advice about the locations. I would not hesitate to stay with them again. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

A great experience!
