Great hotel... a expensive one

This is a really good place to stay if you are not on a budget... the location is great, just in front of the angel de la independencia, and the US embassy... Walking distance from attractions like Torre Mayor, Chapultepec Castle, Chapultepec Forest, Zona Rosa, etc. The prices are expensive, the restaurant is not bad, but you can get something better somewhere else, by the same price. The WI - FI intenet is not free, ther charge like 15 USD for 24 hours of internet, wich is crazy!

The front desk was more confused than most I have seen. They were still using old credit card proccessing systems. I waited in line to check in for over 15 minutes with no one to talk to. They did not have enough help on the desk. I checked in at 7pm so this should not have been a problem. Other than that the hotel was great. Nice room great view. The bar in the main lobby was expensive. I had two bloody mary's which cost me * usd. They were doubles but still. The hotel was very clean and once you had a room they treated you like a kIng. Very nice staff. X at the lobby bar was great! For the price which was a few dollars cheaper than the others I would stay here again. The Mahattan grill which is on the premises serves a great tortilla soup and the tacos out of this world. I had a great time in the city.

I feel at home at the Sheraton Maria Isabel; they pamper me, they fulfill all my requestes, it is clean and safe, and beautiful. I love this hotel!!! Rooms are super clean..the rooms facing El Angel are MUCH nicer than the ones facing the back, so make sure you request the newer tower with view to El Angel. Also, it is super fun to stay at the 16th-18th floor Executive Towers, with butler service and all, and sometimes they have good specials that are not too expensive!!!

Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel and Towers

I had a day layover in Mexico City prior to flying to Acapulco. I found a fairly decent rate at the Sheraton Maria Isabella and booked it. This was my first time in Mexico City, and I was unfamiliar with what part of the city to stay in.

I arrived very late and had some trouble with my baggage at the airport. I took the "recommended" taxi service (probably a rip-off, but I didn't want a hassle.) The ride from the airport was around $25.

As for the hotel, it has a fairly nice interior in the lobby, but they were doing some construction while I was there, so I would expect it to be improving.

The room was very elegant for the price (I was given a tower room.) A very helpful and friendly bellman took me to my room and spent quite a while making sure everything was how I wanted. After tipping him, I called for a wake-up call for the next morning. When I picked up the phone, the floor's butler asked when I would like to get up. The next morning, he arrived to wake me up, but he brought several types of juices, coffees, teas, and breakfast rolls. He also laid out several different newspapers and got the bathroom ready (laid out the robe, brought hot towels, etc.). All this for $90 a night!

I left that morning to take a quick walk around the area, which included the Chapultepec Castle and Park (Zoo), Xochimilco Floating Gardens, the Museum of Anthropology, the Rufino Tamayo Museum, and Basilica De Guadalupe. It was a great day.

Sheraton Maria Isabel Hotel and Towers

We were in the tower portion. Not inexpensive, but wonderful service.

The concierge was very helpful. Transportation obtained by the hotel was always reliable. The business center was adequate. Wireless in-room internet access was available.

Accommodations worth the price based on location and quality of room and service. Located next door to the American Embassy.
