glad i read reviews before our trip. hotel is great. pools, water slides, facilities, service, beach ... all great. myself, wife, and 10 month old son.......great trip.
hotel will ickel and dime you, if you let them. we brought with us stuff to have breakfast in the room (also saves a lot of time) - poptarts, iced tea and lemonade mix, hostess donuts...etc. we brought snacks for poolside and for evenings in the room. basically had one big meal out per day - either lunch or dinner. restaurnats in the hotel are outrageous, but poolside burgers and fries are affordable. anthony's restaurant across the street..had a reasonably priced meal and the quality was superb. dont let the TGIF ambiance throw you off...the food was good. bring some thermos containers and buy duty free booze.....there is an ice machine on every floor.....so we made vodka iced tea's and brought them poolside....had drinks for the room at night....I read from another review DO NOT USE THE FRIDGE FOR YOUR OWN STUFF. they will charge you. we had baby medicine that needed to be refrigerated. I called the moment I got there and asked for permission to use the fridge for this reason..only. when we checked out they charged us $* per day to use the fridge....because i had it on record that I had asked permission...they happilytook fixed our bill. overall.....it turned out to be a cheap vacation just by being a little frugal.....not cheap....just not stupid. oh yeah I had the taxi from the airport stop at a bar and I bought a case of beer for the room...on ice of course....in a cooler bag for the pool........smart. $* bettter than $*per beer. enjoy.
Beautiful Place but REALLY expensive!

Atlantis is a wonderful place to stay for a week as far as beach and pools go! We stayed in the Royal Tower overlooking Dolphin Cay, various pools and beaches and the luxurious Reef Tower. The view was great and up on the 19th floor gave for a spectacular view. The room was clean and comfortable and has a plasma TV, an overly expensive mini-bar and even more expensive room service menu. There are a lot of activies to do especially for young children - we brought a 6 year old and she loved the kid pools and slides. If you take children with you, take advantage of the Kid's Club either during the day or the evening hours. They do great activities with your kids, and parents get an escape for 4 hours - very safe! The service could be better and so could some of the attitudes of the staff . Be prepared - it operates on a cashless system using only your room card and EVERYTHING is overpriced (e.g. $4 coffee and $29 double shot drinks! ) If you think you will sit in your pool chair and the cabana boy will bring your drinks, think again, the staff out at the pools are limited with slow service. The pool located by the beach tower has the best (limited) bar service. Mario makes some great drinks! The buffets are extremely large with something for everyone. We dined at the Cafe at the Dig - great shrimp scampi! Don't miss Murray's Deli - best breakfast in the resort and the corned beef sandwiches are to die for. Lazy river is great and so are the water slides. The dolphin experience is well worth the money! Great trip but I won't go back because of prices and the service.
Beach Tower not worth the money

Very disappointed with the room we had in the Beach Tower. They definitely should put some money into that building. Rooms need a major renovation. Two double beds need to be replaced with two queen beds, but then there would probably be no room to move around. Balconies are tiny and need major updating. Chairs on balcony were so gross had to put a towel down to sit on them. Definitely not worth the money - could not be complain if I paid $75.00 a nite to stay there (basically all that it would be worth), but paid a lot more. Bathrooms very tiny and also needed some major updates. Toilet seat was stained - and gross. Do not expect that from this type of resort. How much does it cost to replace a toilet seat???? Carpet in room was stained, balcony door did not work upon arrival, but they did fix it right away. For the most part staff was very accomodating. Food prices are insulting!! Four muffins a small orange juice, small chocolate milk and a small one serving box of cereal cost $56.00. It cost $80.00 for 2 people to eat at Johnny Rockets - 2 burgers, 2 beers, 1 order of fries. Just ridiculous. Carmine's was a good deal for dinner, but could not get near the place. They do not take reservations for parties of 4. One night was told to come back at 6 - then 6:30 - then 7 only to be told they were full for the night. At that time all the other "reservation recommended" restaurants were also full. Tried to make reservations at restaurants and was told you need to do that 1 mth prior to arriving, alternative, eat at 10 PM.

I have to say I was a little worried reading some of the reviews about this resort. I knew it was going to be pricey sooo we expected that and packed accordingly. We brought an extra suit case full of bottled water, juices and snacks for the kids. It was over priced, milk was around 4.00 with tax and tip, same with a banana!! The food and restaurants were great.
The Italian restaurant was really good, Carmines. Johnny Rockets was good. I have no complaints with the pool side food as well. The pools were better than we thought, although
some of the pools the water was cold and other pools the water was warm. If you are planning a trip, try to stay in the coral or reef towers. Not that the Beach tower was bad, it was further away from everything. The Coral and reef towers were closer to everything.
We had plenty of towels, the beds and rooms were always made. I had read a lot of compliants about the room and service. WE did not have any problems at all. I would go back but maybe in May or June for warmer weather. We had 74-80 degress but not humid and sometimes different pools were tooo cold to get in, the river rapids pools are warm and heated. We spent 1100.00 on fjust food for 3 people for 6 nights, but again went to carmines twice and bill was 100.00 each night but you get a alot of food!! Awsome water slides and grounds are nice. Beach was beautiful. Kids will have a blast!!

We were all excited to go on our first big family trip. Upon arrival friendly staff but the hotel room wasn't nice. Chipped paint in the bathroom and too small for a family of four. Not easy to get a good spot at pool area. By the Lazy river at the Beach tower we fell getting out several times. We injured oursleves. Went to the nurses office. Missed the rest of the day from going to one area to another. And this was the first day. Was not happy at all. We requested a room change and the following day we moved. It took a while to get to another room. Meanwhile my kids were going crazy. A 6 yr old and a 2 yr old. Anyway, did not get offered any comps for these things that happened. We requested a refridgater and they did say no charge at all. Wrong...that cost us an extra $75. I can go on and on. everything was so expensive.
Overall, the people are very friendly and we plan on going back but not staying at the Beach Tower. Also was very disappointed to find out that the pool closes at 6pm and bars on the beach were closed.
I still will book my next trip with Travel agency unles i find a better deal out there. I am still happy with your service that you provided me with.
