nice but EXPENSIVE getaway

Just came back from Atlantis (early 20s). When we told our taxi guy we were staying at Atlantis he even said paradise island is more like unparadise island bc of the high prices.1st of all the beach tower doesn't even look like its part of the Atlantis..more like a beach inn. Its also bit of a hike to other towers and ammenties. The ammenties are great though and the staff is very friendlly. Water slides and lazy river were fun, however jet skiis for a 1/2 hour costs $70.The prices on food and drinks WERE INSANE, like $20 for a chicken salad, $3.50 for a small bottle water. and $13.75 for a pina colada. They also add a 15% gratuity to everything!! Taxis are also expensive so I would suggest taking a water taxi into town for $3 opposed to a $20 taxi ride. I would stock up on water at the shops across the street from atlantis-prices are normal there. We were excited to go to the aura club there bc the same owners as Pure in vegas. However it was 18 to enter would make for tons of drunk teens running around. It left us in the casino where you lose your money very fast. We didn't see anyone winning only the house. I'd stay again but only if i hit the lotto so i could afford everything & in coral or royal towers instead of the "beach inn".

would go again

the staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean. the pool area was kept clean throughout the day. All inclusive means just that there was never a problem getting a drink or something to eat, however much of the buffet food was cold and the amount of seafood was scarce. we expected more local dishes as well as seafood. The pool grill was awesome. It was the saving grace on our trip. We were disappointed that many of the daily activities listed at the hotel never took place. All in all we still give this hotel high rankings and would definitely go back again.

Nice place to stay but ridiculous food and beverage prices!

One drink will cost you three dollars and fifty cents, and that is for a soda! Restaurants charge extravagant fee's for all food. A sandwich is fourteen dollars, minimum. Food is good, but not worth the price.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful

Hotel is very clean, and huge. Only, I didn't know the meals were going to be so expensive. Seeing as I needed certain foods for Diabetes, and blood thinners, even with my meds, things did get out of whack for several days. Our 'cleaning lady' kept our room spotless; better than home. All in all, the Atlantis Resort was a great vacation.

BYOF- Bring your own food!

Fabulous place- Very family friendly. Like Disneyland. Beautiful and lush landscape. Ultra clean and well kept. The food is ridiculously overpriced. We bought cereal and milk for our room and got cheese and crackers and bought booze from the liquor store. Otherwise, we could go broke! Walk across to Anthony's grill to get normal prices or better yet, take the ferry into Nassau to eat real food that is prices reasonably. We got a last minute deal to make the room affordable but the food more than made up for any savings.
