Great hotel, will return again

Excellent location, away from the crowds of Atlantis. We love that each room had a a good view of the beach. The beach is clean and not crowded. There are several pools in the hotel, including shallow ones for the kids. The only downside is that only one of them is heated (the one in the swim-up bar area) so that one tends to be crowded. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Friendly staff. As with any hotel, food would be more expensive than outside but we also found the food to be better quality than fast food so we didn't feel ripped off (Dolphin Grill had a good burger, and the chicken quesadillas ordered for room service were tasty). Bus stop is right in front of the hotel, which is convenient. Friendly staff. This is an excellent place to stay if you're looking for peace and quiet or just a relaxing time away from the crowds. We definitely will stay here again!

Let's Call it 3 1/2 Stars

Overall this hotel is nice, especially if you are eager to get away. The pool and ocean scene is wonderful. The rooms on the other hand are equivalent to a three star. I was definitely not impressed with the rooms, but the Starbucks coffee made up for it. The food selection was very poor and pricey. The Bimini Market for breakfast consisted of a minimal selection, and was consumed with too many flies. The best food I experienced was at the Fish Fry, but I recommend you go during the daylight hours. Its true Bahamian cuisine!! Would I return to this resort...maybe with family but not again with friends!!

Excellent stay at Sheraton in May 2009. Great location, beautiful location, away from hustle and bustle of Atlantis. Nice pool and clean beach. Rooms are bright and fairly new. Right on the bus line, so can get around own cheaply in the daytime. Excellent meal at Amici, the Italian restaurant in the hotel. Particulary enjoyed the bruschetta and the lobster pasta. Another reviewer noted high cost of food, but check out the rest of the island, prices are MUCH higher for lower quality food. It's just a fact that dining in the Bahamas is expensive! Only complaint: the resort fee, which seems like a hidden cost to me.

Enjoyable time

Stayed 3/27/09 thru 4/2/09. Had a wonderful time. The staff were all friendly and efficient. Our room was upgraded to an executive suite and was recently renovated. Everything was new and clean. Food was expensive but try to get the daily breakfast buffet included in your stay. Take the bus to town and keep your eyes open for local restaurants which give you much better value. Our booking agent had all hotel fees included in our price so we didn't hassle that issue. Those fees add up quickly. The beach was lovely and clean. Unfortunately only one pool is heated so it's crowed and at the end of the day there's a lot of refuse spread around. It's annoying to hear plastic cups rolling around all day. Overall we had a great time and the hotel offers very good value. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel and service was alot better than I had expected. There was a total of 11 of us, including kids that went. The staff was very friendly, and housekeeping did a great job all 4 of our rooms. We did all-inclusive..The only way to go! Otherwise we would of spent a fortune. The buffet was ok, did not seem to have a big selection, but other than that very nice. The Casino was good too, machines did not seem tight at all. We did eat outside of the resort which was nice too, but pricey. You can take a bus for $1.25 per person instead of the high cost of a taxi, and the buses run until 7:00 every night (The Deck & Fish Fry great restaurants.) The beach and the pools were very nice and clean. All in all we had a great time and the Hotel was very nice. If you do book for this hotel or any other in Nassau, I highly suggest All-inclusive. Very pricey in the Bahamas.
