Beautiful, large end of hall room with sweeping view.

Request rooms at the end of hallways. They have full windows on two sides. Housekeeping was exceptional for a $3.00 day tip. Resturants were pricey-everything in San Diego is. Selection not great but food was wonderful. Within walking distance of great resturants, whimsical shopping, convention facilities, and stadium. Front desk really messed up check out on bill, but was readily rectified later by accounting department. I plan to stay here again. But please note: deep pockets are a must to really enjoy this experience. Concierge service was exceptional. I realize tipping is the key to really good service at this hotel. Pool was way too crowded, but that is not the fault of the hotel. People who were not hotel guests were using the pool. The only complaint: no where to sit in lobby while waiting on cabs or friends. Self parking is no hassle at all as parking garage and elevators and readily accessible.

We all loved Sally's, right next to the Bay -- try the Sunday brunch for sure. Very nice room and a very nice pool and very nice folks with one notable exception -- the concierge desk is very sarcastic with ignorant travellers and doesn't know San Diego very well (told us it was too hard to get to and around Coronado Island to even try-- wrong!) -- buy a travel book and you'll discover you're close to lots of interesting sites and it's easy to get around.

location is the only good thing about this hotel

Don't stay here. Staff members are very rude and unaccomodating. The tower we stayed in was old and smelled like cigarettes and bad deodorizer. The pool is substandard compared to other resort style hotels. Do yourself and your family a favor and stay at the Marriott next door. It's MUCH nicer in every respect!

Hotel facade is grand, location is great, but DO NOT expect to get the customer service you deserve. Customer service at the front desk is inferior as the associates we talked to were very rude and not service-oriented at all. Not fit for a grand entrance - it's just a facade - and certainly not worth spending your money on!
