We always consider a "getaway" when we have not only peace and quiet but also have it in comfort and style.
"The" Broadmoor truly delivers all of that and more.

Outside Denver Metro, 6,000 ft. above sea level, a perfect getaway awaits.
If you've had vacations before and told of sprawling area to describe it, then you certainly will know what true "sprawling" means when you experience "the" Broadmoor.
Imagine a lake within the resort with a beautiful footbridge connecting the 2 main complex. Calling it footbridge is a joke as it defies any image of what a footbridge is. (Pls. refer to pictures in this review.)
LOCATION:
In Colorado Springs. From Denver, take Interstate 25 (I-25) heading South. Take Exit 138 (Circle Drive) and turn right. Follow Circle Drive which turns into Lake Avenue and the Broadmoor.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Excellent
Choice of rooms/suites or cottages. The rooms/suites are either in the Main or West Complex, the lake between them. The "cottages" (1-8 bedrooms), is actually a misnomer if ever there is one, as they are grand and luxurious in the Broadmoor tradition.
Our room was at the West complex with the terrace affording us views of the lake, the bridgewalk as well as the whole main complex right across.
Room décor is very colorful yet tastefully done. Though the different fabrics used were in a myriad of colors, texture and pattern, the overall effect is one of luxury.
With the king-size bed, desk and chair, a seating area in one corner with 2 chairs and a table, entertainment center, and my favorite, an oversize chair and ottoman, the room was still very spacious and did not feel crowded and cramped.
The bed is grand, aesthetically and in size (height) as it is a little bit higher than a regular bed.
The terrace was a great place to sit and just enjoy the fantastic scene around.
The bathroom as is the bedroom, is big with what I personally consider the BEST bath products (Broadmoor Spa Collection) in all the hotels we’ve ever been to.
TIP : The hotel’s bath products are available for sale at the Spa Shop.
AMENITIES: Excellent
Just to give you an idea:
* 2 pools (indoor and the lakeside/infinity pool)
* 3 golf courses (one of which was designed by Jack Nicklaus)
* tennis courts
* movie theatre (within the main complex)
* spa
* riding stables
* paddle boat rides
* library
and more.
Dining: There are multiple dining options.
Café Julie’s (lobby, West Complex) - pastries, coffee, etc.
The Golden Bee and the Summit Restaurants are located outside the resorts main bldg./area and is a nice leisurely walk. Golden Bee lunch was about $40++ for 2 while dinner at the Summit was about $90++ which included soda and dessert.
Breakfast was the High Mountain Breakfast (at $15 ++ pp) and consisted of 2 eggs (any style) choice of hickory smoked bacon or spiced sausage, potato hash and toast and of course, juice and coffee. This was perfect as my husband and I had each of the choices and had our eggs done the way we liked.
Tip : Bear Claw at Café Julie is a MUST.
Slider Trio (room service order) consisted of crabmeat, pork
and beef with cheddar cheese is another great choice.
($17.50++)
Grilled Hamburger on Potato Chive Roll (with choice of cheese
and a heapful of fries) ($18++)
SERVICE : Excellent
Synonymous with security, service is exemplary from the moment you are welcomed thru the main gate. The service through our stay was simply commendable. Discreet yet one always feel service is available.
Strolling around the resort, it is refreshing to come across staff and be greeted warmly with a greeting.
More importantly, arrangements and requests I made during booking for a lakeside view room was "delivered" upon our check-in.
Truly, the Broadmoor is one "getaway" destination for peace/quiet and soooooo much more.
Additional Info :
$ 16.00 - Overnight/Valet Parking Fee
$ 16.00 - Add'l. daily incidental charge for services (unlimited access to the Fitness Center, etc.)
OVERALL : I highly recommend the Broadmoor ....... as the resort tag line aptly echoes the feeling one feels after experiencing the Broadmoor.
One of TOP 10 Hotels in America!!

I have stayed at hotels all over the world and I can honestly say this is the nicest hotel we have EVER stayed in. Many of the US presidents have stayed here, and I can honestly see why. From the moment you arrive on the grounds you are swept into another world and it only gets better when you get inside. We are not overly impressed with mountains because we are definitely a beach family, but the Broadmoor is a destination in itself. We live in Colorado Springs (military), and we will be staying there for our 4th time this 4th of July just because we love it so much (even though it's just across town!). We normally stay during December (our anniversary), and the grounds and decorations are always breathtaking! The resort is HUGE, with it's own beautiful lake, swimming pools, world class spa, stunning golf course, and a multitude of other activities. The beds are also the most luxurious and comfortable I have ever slept on. You get every penny of your money's worth, as staying here makes you feel as if you are one of the rich and famous! If you only get to go once in your life, it will be worth it!

We were amazed by our stay. The staff was friendly, courteous, service oriented. The rooms were extremely clean, comfortable, and spacious. I ordered a can of Pepsi from room service and they were out. When I went out to the hall to look for a vending machine, an employee asked if I needed help. Since there were no vending machines in the hotel for patrons, she offered to go downstairs to the employee lounge and try to get one. Even if you can only afford to stay a night or two, do it. It was a great experience!

The kids had a lot of fun at this resort. Everything was exemplary in both the rooms and public areas. It was a short drive to Pikes Peak, which we all really enjoyed.
As a side note our rooms were upgraded to a "better" room but the more basic rooms were actually much larger. To the average guest that would be no problem but the basic rooms were much larger. We had two rooms but we also have three kids, I would rather have the space then the electronic touch drapes and LCD TV.
Amazing!!!!

My husband and I were married at the Broadmoor June 1st of this year. Everything about this hotel was amazing- the incredible service, the impeccably kept grounds, the immaculate rooms and the absolutely delicious food (both at our wedding reception and at Summit where we ate later in the day). Everyone went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed- we were greeted with not one, but two bottles of champagne when we were upgraded to one of the best suites on the property with a gorgeous view of Lake Cheyenne and the Front Range to the west. It was beautiful, romantic, luxurious, relaxing, and more than I could have possibly hoped for! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!!!!!!! It is a destination within itself, and my husband and I thoroughly look forward to the next time we are able to stay again (there will be many return trips!).
