Not a Bad Vacation

My stay at Rooms on the Beach was a good stay, however, after coming in from the airport, I didn't expect to have to take my luggage up three flights of stairs (no evalator). Our rooms were nice and plenty of space, however, towels weren't delivered until late afternoon. We lost several hours of cable due to an outage, which wasn't too bad, but it happen when we came in to rest to have a great time that night. I thought the view was wonderful, I like looking out and being able to see the beach, the cruiseliners dock, and the pool area. The staff at the front desk need more customer service training. I can't say they were the friendly people.

A great value and stellar location

We booked this hotel with a flight and got a steal of a deal. We were a little apprehensive about such a low price but were pleasantly surprised with the quality and safety of this hotel. Staff was extremely helpful at all times. No activities included hotel so be prepared to pay for what you get. I thought the ships that dock nearby would provide a flood of people each day but the difference was barely noticeable. Plenty of restaurants located within walking distance of the hotel as well. Hotel restaurant cooked good meals at reasonable rates. The continental breakfast was, perhaps, the only thing lacking with this hotel - i.e. the toast and rolls with juice each morning got a little old. I would have expected at least some offering of fruit given the bounty of fruit available in this tropical paradise. For anyone not familiar with street vendors, they can be a bit overwhelming. A stiff "no" will send most of them the other way as the entire country seems to try to go out of their way to accomodate tourists. Transportation to and from the hotel seemed awkward to arrange but when we were actually there, it couldn't have been smoother - it had to be arranged separate from the hotel booking though. All-in-all this was a definite re-visit hotel; especially if we can such a great price through online travel website again!

A decent experience

Cons Hotels: Hotel-mediocre. Front desk-very unfriendly. Room service-a struggle. Rooms had some mold, clean towels-daily fight to get. Beach very noisy and crowded. Cons Jamaica: Do NOT venture in non-tourist places or you will be taken for a ride! Hasslers were very annoying. Learn to say "no, thank you" repeatedly. Did not feel very safe overall! Pros: Setting-very beautiful. Reasonable price of your budget is limited.

see you agian!

For the price this hotel just can't be beat. I honestly can't complain about anything. We LOVED it. On our last night in Jamaica we stayed at a hotel twice as expensive, and next time, I'd just stay at Rooms the whole time..
