The full English breakfast provided with the room was served in the large dining room with views of the ocean and all the fruit, cereal, cooked eggs, mushrooms and toast anyone could ever want. London newspapers were delivered to the rooms each morning. The staff were most accommodating and friendly. Off the main lobby were other public rooms, and the nine of us rather appropriated the "Derby Room" as our own. It was a lovely, very large room with 20ft. ceilings, antique furniture, beautiful plasterwork, columns, and huge windows. We had dinner served to us there our first evening and tea the next afternoon. There is also a health club in the hotel with sauna, exercise equipment and massage therapists. All in all, a rather charming old hotel, if perhaps a little down at the heels. In cooler weather, I think we would have loved it.
