The place was beautiful, you felt like you were in the middle of the jungle. We were on our honeymoon and it was very intimate couple resort. The staff was AWESOME they got you anything you needed and was friendly the whole trip. We arrived late because of a flight delay and they kept food from the buffet out so that we would be able to eat when we got there. As soon as we pulled up to the Resort they had Cool towels to put on our neck and a delicious tropical fruit drink ready for us before we even checked in. The buffet resturant was awesome and to be honest that is the only placed we ate. The only thing about this place you should know about this place is the beach is across the street and they are remodeling a place right next to it. They do have security to take you across and they have a beach grill and bar right on the beach with security. Bugs were no problem unless it rained on the beach. they fogged the resort everyday so in the resort there was none. This definetly is a great place that I would not even think about going to any other resort if I went again.
What a nice place!

This hotel is beautiful! We loved the people, everyone was so friendly. The staff was very nice, and we also met other couples who were traveling and made lots of friends at the hotel bar. Both the buffet and the Lotus restaurant were very good as well. I didn't realize from the description that the beach was across the street, however. But they provided a crossing guard and it really wasn't so bad. My favorite part was how natural the place is. The lovely landscaping, the wild birds, lizards, snails and frogs really made the place feel like you are in a wild secluded place. I would go again.
Wonderful Paradise!

This resort was simply amazing...we checked out a few other ones along the strip and this was more personal and quiet. I stayed with my boyfriend and we relaxed like woah! honestly, if you have kids, if your by yourself, if your going with family or lovers it has it all! amazing place, cheap price and beautiful beach!

We LOVED everything about our stay at Sunset at the Palms! The beach was beautiful with pleanty of chairs and options to sit in the shade or sun. Our room was stunning, we loved our balcony and spent hours just laying on our daybed and enjoying the sounds and smells of the gardens that surrounded us. Although we were told the bugs were bad, they were not a problem at all. I can't even put into words how wonderful the staff was!!! They were so sweet and helpful with everything, we felt like royality! The food was great, and the buffet seemed to have something for everybody- I am a vegetarian and still found pleanty of delicious food options! The best thing about this resort that sets it apart from the rest is the tree-house villias! You have tons of privacy and feel like your the only person around because each villa is surrounded by lush, flowering gardens. The bar tenders were great and make the BEST pina colada's in the world! Although tipping is included, most people -including ourselves- still left tips. (how could you not when you recieve such wonderful, personalized service!?!) The security was great. The locals have tents set up just off our beach with wonderful handmade gifts, but never came over and hasseled anyone. The only part of the entire trip that we didn't care for was the drive from the airport to the resort. It's about an hour and we were shocked to see some of the poor living conditions. But it was all soooo worth it once we arrived! We loved everything about our trip, and plan on returning again and again! Tip- bring a float and sports bottle for relaxing in the ocean while sipping on a pina colada!
