We visited Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica, in November for our honeymoon. This place was amazing. First, the staff - they were wonderful. I believe that you can visit the most luxurious place in the world, but if the staff isn't pleasant, your stay won't be so. The staff at Couples Swept Away truly wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. We stayed in an oceanfront room, and I cannot say enough about it. The view from the balcony was breathtaking.
The beach was amazing. I would definitely recommmend visiting in November. The food was delicious, and the drinks were 'premium'. Anything we asked for, they could make. I would suggest the candlelit dinner on the beach to anyone planning on going. I suprised my husband (the cost is $150 for a full five-course meal with champagne and wine). The resort provides you with your own personal waiter and a gorgeous set-up on the beach. I wouldn't recommend shopping outside the resort. These people really do hound you. After a couple of stops, we were ready to go back to the resort.
