We stayed at the Imperial as part of a tour group of 40. This hotel was to be the highlight of our 12 days in Turkey & Greece. The location is convenient in terms of acess to the metro, but otherwise not in a particularly good neighborhood; not horrible, just not good. The dining room was completely unprepared for our group's dinner and lacked seating as well as food. We ended up being served another group's leftovers. Dinner the next night was in the main dining room and ran a bit short on entrees. I assumed coffee would be included, but found out after ordering that it was 4 euros. Breakfast is buffet style in the main dining room. Hallways are plain and utilitarian. Our room, #350, was large and well furnished. The bathroom was huge with marble flooring and counters and an oversized tub. However, lighting in the room was so poor that it was impossible to read even in the daytime. Draperies could not be opened because of the direct view into someone's apartment only a matter of a few feet away. There is an on site fitness facility, but the hours are limited which prevented our use.

Summit pkg was not honored by the hotel, we had to argue to get our complimentary breakfast buffet. The so called greek sweets and wine didn't ever appear. The pool was closed for maintenance or something. It's a pretty long walk to the Plaka or Acropolis, and in a sketchy area for walking late at night. The staff at the front desk were rude, and difficult to work with--definately not service oriented. Next time we'd stay right in the Plaka or somewhere in Syntagmou Square--
