The Hilton Berlin is located at the Gendarmenmarkt in the heart of Berlin. The subway station "downtown" is just outside the hotel, so that the hotel from the train stations and "zoo", "Central Station" and "Ostbahnhof" are close. If you arrive by car you must go through the city of Berlin and this is not recommended in the rush hour to necessarily so, it also costs time and parking can be found not quite so simple, so that there remains only the expensive garage. The hotel is very well located, but also for sightseeing is the ideal location. The shopping "Friedrichstrasse" and "Unter den Linden" can be reached in five minutes walking distance and the Brandenburg Gate and Potsdamer Platz is one only 15 minutes. The Kurfürstendamm is one of the underground line U2 in front of the hotel thanks also quite good.
The seven-story hotel from the outside does not look that impressive. The hotel takes up more or less the whole block. The top two floors in this case have a pitched roof. You enter the hotel through a driveway and then stands in the spacious lobby. Here you will find plenty of seating, the desk of the concierge, shops and the actual reception. This is a little sideways and I designed for eight seats. There is a separate counter for the guests of the Hilton Honors program.
The lobby area is in the middle area to open up, but has no direct daylight. There is a gallery, where you also get into the spa area and where there are more shops. The hotel is built around two courtyards, thus has the shape of a square of 8. The 562 rooms and 27 suites are classically elegant while. In the rooms there is little difference in the equipment, even more in size.
The Berlin Hilton is centrally located and easily accessible by public transport. The service and the status of acceptance are almost impossible to surpass, this is one of the best I've ever experienced, and this also plays a role in the size of the hotel.
The features of the hotel with pool, sauna, steam room, and small fitness area are excellent. The condition of the room to work properly and the excellent facilities, the size acceptable, but would be more just beautiful. Weaknesses, there is actually no detail, the unheated bathroom mirror is bearable. The Executive Lounge, however, could be somewhat larger.
I think I have found another top hotel in Berlin. The rooms are classic and have everything that you need. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. A top hotel with a good location!
