This hotel sits right on the harbor. It is very close to lots of things to do. We loved the hotel. The beaches were awesome!! We went snorkeling at Paradise Cove and loved it. The only downfall is the people of the Bahamas are very rude. Service is terrible. When going out for dinner (all over the island) expect high prices, terrible food and no refills. Each time we went to eat, we would be in there for at least an hour and a half. I probaly said thank you one hundred times during our stay in Grand Bahamas and never once heard Thank you. I would highly recommend this hotel highly if you must go to this island. It was a high point of our stay. Honestly, we will never return to the Bahamas. First time on vacation that I was glad to go home.

The resturants with the hotel are a little pricey. If you want to go the beach, ride the ferry across to Taino beach

The hotel was a terrific value for what we paid in a lower end room and the higher end rooms looked even lovlier for nearly twice the money. The staff was just wonderful in very way being warm, friendly, and helpful. You're right next to great restaurants, the straw market, fishing, snorkeling, etc.
