Felt like Family

After just returning August 7th from Sandals Royal Caribbean, we are still reeling from the amazing time we had there. This was our 5th Sandals trip, however first to the Royal Caribbean. Previously we’ve visited Sandals Grande Ocho Rios and Sandals Whitehouse. And I will say that going into this trip, SRC had a lot to live up to. The resort staff is simply amazing. From the top down, they are great. I cannot say enough about how attentive and responsive to each any every need. This is one of the reasons that Sandals Royal Caribbean is the great resort that it is. The resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are very well kept, the food was exceptional, and as mentioned the staff just put this resort over the top. I’ve raved about Sandals resorts to my friends and family in the past. I will be raving about SRC to anyone who will listen. Not only will we be heading back to SRC, but this may become our home away from home, because we certainly felt like family there.

Would Like to Try Other Sandals Resorts

We stayed at Sandals Royal Caribbean (SRC) for 5 days at the end of July. My boyfriend and I travelled there with 4 other couples for a wedding.

This was my first time to an all-inclusive resort and it was well worth it. The food was very good. They had an al-a-cart breakfast and lunch that were excellent and we tried every restaurant but the French one and all the food was great. The deserts were not the best, except at the Regency.

We had some issues getting into our room, so we got a complimentary upgrade. Even that room wasn't perfect, but we really were only there to get ready for the day or sleep, so that was no big deal.

You get what you pay for. I think it's probably worth your money to book one of their mid-level rooms.

The activities the resort put on were mixed. Some were a lot of fun and a nice break, others were pretty lame. I really enjoyed the beach party.

The activites that are always offered, snorkleing, kayaking, etc were wonderful. It's great to have that all there without having to pay extra money.

I also recommmend paying a little extra for an excursion. We did the Chukka Canopy tour and it was a blast. Worth every penny. Don't feel like you need to set it up ahead of time either. That is all very easy to do when you get to the resort.

My one piece of advice to anyone travelling to this resort is be prepared for a different pace. They are very laid back and everything runs behind. Once you learn to move a little slower, everything will go much more smoothly.

First Class and Top of the Line

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Everything was first class and top of the line. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by McKoy to our last day with Nicky Ann. The entire staff, restaurants personnel, etc were very hospitable. McKoy and NickyAnn made sure that our every need was met and that we were enjoying ourselves. This was a very relaxing vacation. We plan to return as soon as we can! This was the best!

There are 2 Sandals types - Newlyweds and others. Newlyweds will love the place. Others might have a problem. Restaurants are booked 4 to 5 days in advance which makes things difficult if you're only there for 3 nights. You'll eat but probably at a buffet. The grounds are beautiful, the staff cordial, breakfast great. Other dinners were so, so. They cater to newlyweds and rightfully so but I paid a lot not to have access to the restaurants. This is my 3rd time at Sandals and never have had a bad time but if could have been better. Management got us into the Thai restaurant (after much complaining) but I wouldn't bother -try French(Royal) or Italian (at Montego bay) though the Thai ISLAND is quite beautiful so at least visit. The Sandals experience is still good but not quite like it used to be - ' still a good time though

Sandals Royal Caribbean Honeymoon - PERFECT!!!

My wife and I just got back from honeymooning at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, and it may have been the best week of our lives. We had expected a beautiful and relaxing, but wound up getting much more than that. First of all, the location was fantastic. The resort is located only 15 minutes from the airport but doesn’t get the noise of other closer sites. The ocean at RC is wonderful because a natural reef breaks the tide, causing the ocean to be beautiful and calm all the time. The view and weather are just perfect.
But what I really want to focus on is the staff of the resort. I’ve literally never had better service in my life. I can point out a huge number of examples, but a few stuck out for my wife and me: First of all, no less than 20 employees remembered both of our names for the duration of our stay and said "hello" every time they passed us. Even better, three separate managers came to say "goodbye" to us on our final day, seeking us out to make sure they could see us off. Additionally, I exchanged phone numbers with a staff member who left a voice mail for me making sure we got home safely, before we even landed at home! When we left, my wife and I actually shed a couple tears because we were truly leaving new friends behind.
Anyone wanting a friendly, romantic, beautiful, and/or relaxing trip would be a fool not to stay at this resort. We both fully recommend as much time there as possible, and we can’t wait to go back. We’re lifers now!
