Location, location, location....

This hotel is ideally located for getting around the city (<5 minute from a few metro stations and quick walk to major plazas and good food).
Excellent, I would stay again.

The first time, the room was a little small, but the second time the room has a balcony, very nice to sit on in the cool evening.

Carlos V was centrally located in a very lively part of Madrid. Everything was within walking distance and we loved the area. The hotel staff was rather indifferent and the room was very small. We booked a triple room for three adults and were given three twin beds pushed together in a double room. We are all family...so it was cramped, but O.K. Would not have been good for a group of friends. There were much nicer triple rooms, but these were considered deluxe and cost more. We were not given the option to book a deluxe thru travel agent . Also, the hotel website advertises a free shuttle from the hotel to the ariport. They were not happy about giving this to us...finally got it at check-out.

we were very lucky to have chosen this superb hotel. the location was perfect. it was walking to distance to many tourist sights. and the service was good as well. one thing though, the room we were in was quite noisy at night. we could hear all the merry making of the people in the streets. overall, i would choose to stay in this hotel again...
