The hotel is in the new posh Puerto Madero area. This is a newly developed area in the old docks. It is very clean with a souring skyline to look at and plenty of great restaurants. It is not, however, the traditional ‘real’ Buenos Aires but is still a very nice location to stay whilst you are in the City. It's a 10 minute walk to Florida Ave. with all the shopping and cafes, a 10 minute walk to Casa Rosada and 20 minute walk to San Telmo where they have the market on Saturdays and Sundays from 10-5pm.
We didn’t stay here but asked if we could see a room. The young lady was extremely helpful and offered us a full hotel tour. How could we refuse? The Hilton reflects the surroundings with a huge Atrium lobby fronted by glass. The rooms are nicely decorated reflecting the feel of the rest of the hotel. The 42m² standard rooms (called Deluxe Rooms) are contemporary designed with a comfortable work area with high-speed internet access, 32" LCD, multiple-line phones, an electronic safe which perfectly fits a laptop and your valuable possessions, a spacious walk-in closet and a beautiful marble bathroom.
Our tour included a visit to the stylish El Faro Restaurant which is located around an extensive wine cellar. This is where you can start your day with a complete Hilton breakfast, which includes samples of Argentina’s typical pastries. For lunch, El faro Restaurant offers an Urban Cuisine concept, with different daily options of a la carte main dishes which complements the buffet, and there is a variety of dessert options. I must say it looked good but we had already eaten. In the evening, you can settle into the comfortable sofas and experience gourmet cuisine a la carte, featuring dishes such as veal ribs in creamy morel sauce or oysters with vodka. Every Sunday, a brunch is available.
We visited Panadero Take Away in the spectacular lobby, where your sweet cravings will be satisfied with a variety of delicious pastries and breads. You can sit and relax and enjoy them with coffee or you may take it to go. Deli food options are also available to be enjoyed while relaxing in the comfortable sofas. We were told that many business professionals, as well as locals, come to the Hilton to enjoy a glass of wine from the walk-in wine cellar and the international cocktails. Guests join them at the Mosto Wine Bar and are encouraged to try a Shaken Gancia, the Argentine aperitif mixed with lemon and ice that you can savour after office hours.
The pool is outdoors on the rooftop with a nice seating area and a wonderful view of the port.

Hotel is in Puerto Madero with many restaurants within close walking distance. However, getting to locales in central downtown requires a long walk (20 - 30 minutes) or a taxi. It feels a bit isolated in Puerto Madero.
Internet access was expensive - about $20US per day.

Nice Hotel; However, Front Desk Manager was terrible & rude, ruined our stay by not allowing to leave 1 Suitcase for 10 Days; for we returning to Hotel for 3 more days stay. Now, for 2 prior consecutive years we stayed and were allowed to leave the suitcase.

Hilton Buenos Aires
An excellent hotel with modern amenities. The service is worth mentioning of a very high calibre, it reminds me of how hospitality should be from the minute you set foot at the hotel door till you leave.
