WHAT U SEE IS NOT WHAT IS REAL

I stayed at this hotel for 8 days and I ended up changing rooms twice. I am very disapointed since the structure is beautiful and high class but, when you're in is TOTALLY different. Bathrooms are SO old, NO maintenance, holes on the bathroom tub, door handles loose. The personnel never smiled. I did like a bell boy who was very pleasant and helpful with ideas to do in the city. He work the 11pm shift. He's the ONLY one who gets + reviews. Wrote an email to management and ONLY got "sorry for inconvinience".

Comfortable hotel with a strategic location

The Presidente Intercontinental Hotel in Guadalajara is located in a prosperous area of the city, just blocks away from the Expo Guadalajara Convention Center and only 10 minutes from the downtown by car or taxi. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the concierge service is excellent. The outdoor pool area is pleasant, if a little wanting for decoration. The hotel lobby has an active, buzzing vibe because of its proximity to the convention center. It's also just across the street from the (aging) Plaza del Sol Shopping Center. We'll be staying here for our next weekend getaway.

Felt like I was paying for the lobby

Just got back from Guadalajara on a business trip. After 2 nights, switched to a different hotel. Sound of elevator dinging right outside my door was a bit much to handle. Also, these are the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. I work in Mexico a lot, and realize a lot of the beds are naturally hard, but these were over the top hard, and the pillows were like sleeping on pancakes.

Presidente InterContinental Guadalajara

A nice hotel very conveniently located near the Expo Guadalajara site. If you are an old visitor to Guadalajara, you may remember it as the Hyatt.

The gym is named the Olympus Club and is nicely equipped with modern machines. Go and enjoy a nice swim at the heated outdoor pool and then get inside to spend some time at the Jacuzzi or the the steam bath, both in good condition, so much that a lot of locals come to enjoy the Olympus Club on a daily basis.

The restaurant has a very good variety and the prices are right, but you can also eat at the Italian specialty one, where they make an impressive fettuccine.

In front of the hotel there is a large mall, Plaza del Sol, just across an avenue. An underground plaza with megaplex cinemas is just 2 blocks south, the Expo Guadalajara is within a 15-minute walk or a very short taxi ride, several good restaurants are within 10-minute taxi rides, and there are several nightclubs. If you are doing business here, you don't need to go downtown at all.
