Othon Palace Hotel

We were very pleased with our stay at the Othon Palace. If you’re looking for luxury or character, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a hotel that is well-located and offers clean rooms, friendly service and basic amenities at a reasonable price, then the Othon Palace will suit your needs. The rooms are comfortable but unspectacular, and while the hotel seems to be generally well-kept, it could use a face lift, the décor is rather outdated. Some but not all of the desk staff members speak English. Those that do were exceptionally friendly and anxious to help. The hotel is located on Rua Libero Badaro, only a short walk away from the Teatro Municipal. The Praca de Se subway stop is a few blocks away. Shopping malls, banks, ATMs, post offices, and restaurants are all within walking distance. We paid about $90 US per night for our room. The rate includes a full breakfast buffet which we found to be delicious.
