Be sure to make use of the free safe deposit boxes if you intend to walk around the city because it really isn't very safe and making a police report can be a hassle with the city rife with pick-pocketers and con-men. Located on the Buda side of the city, which I was told where the rich people live, it is about a 20-minute walk through the only tunnel to the city centre, near the Donau River. There's a souvenir shop in the sub-level, just below the reception, for your last minute shopping, but the prices are rather high. At night, it is a rather quiet place, although it is about a 5-minute cab ride to the largest and newest shopping mall on this side of the city. Considering it is actually the old town, this is something else! They sell all the latest, greatest high-tech games for your PS2 and more. But too bad it’s all in Hungarian!
