We spent a night at this hotel and had a great time. It was very clean and appeared nice. There is a foul, mildew-type smell in the hallways and the air wasn't on, or just didn't work in there. The elevators were small and also hot. It doesn't quite make sense that we had a sea view room, but the balcony was on another side that looked at the back of a restaraunt. Those are my only complaints and we would definately stay there again. The beds were quite comfy, they let us check in 30 min. before check-in time. The room was spotless and the air was cold. We enjoyed being so close to the restaraunt we had dinner at, and right across from the beach. There were plenty of towels, a mini fridge and a microwave. Any staff member I spoke to was extremely polite and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone if they can get over the smell in the hallways and the heat in the elevators and hallways.
Not ocean front & Sloppy housekeeping

We chose this hotel because it was advertised as having balconies that were ocean view. This was very misleading as the hotel does not have ANY balconies that are really facing the ocean. If you lean over the balcony & look to the right you can see the ocean. There is a large parking lot & a restraunt and seawall blvd between you and the ocean. The room was nice and 'seemed' clean. But housekeeping left something to be desired. On our second day there the room was cleaned somewhat while we were gone but we could see a slackness like no liners put in the trashcans, nothing was replaced (like the coffee, shampoo,...) The following day, we came back from the beach at about 5pm and the room had not been cleaned at all (we didnt even have clean towels to shower before dinner). Housekeeping was at the far end of the hall so I took our dirty towels to the attendant & asked to trade for clean & was informed that she didnt have any.. . (So then Im wondering how are they servicing the rooms theyre cleaning.) So I went to the front desk & was kind of embarased as the girl behind the counter made me specify exactly how many towels & washcloths I wanted. When back at the room showering, housekeeping came banging on the door saying that they needed to service the room (evidently they got in trouble) and got an attitude because we were already in the room. (My husband told them to at least take the trash & the girl had an attitude because the trash can had no liner.) So for the money...because it is NOT ocean front and the housekeeping evidently needs work, Ill choose somewhere else next time.
Clean and cheap

I didn't pay much for this hotel, even though there was a hurricane conference going on! The rooms have great views and are clean. The breakfast had a lot to choose from. The only problem we had is that the cleaning staff did not clean our bathroom or give us clean linens. If you can conserve on towel usage throughout your stay, this is worth the money. By the way, it is right across the street from the beach.
Thin Walls but a good view

Stayed here for one night during Spring Break 08. Hotel in good location with nice view of the gulf. But the walls were thin. We could hear our neighbors, their kids, laughing and even just talkikng. I thought for sure there had to be 20 people in that room. Called front desk and they called the room (I heard phone ring) and noise ceased. Felt bad the next day as we exited our rooms at the same time. One nice/small family of 4. Free breakfast was decent. Will stay elsewhere next time.

I booked into the hotel adjacent to Quality and what a mistake I made! All I saw was the rooftop instead of the beach. I should've booked with Quality first. Luckily for me, I wasn't charged cancellation fees. I spent the extra money for a better, QUALITY hotel room and surprisingly enough, they had one last room left for the weekend. The cost was awesomely low. I only had to spend ten more dollars for a perfect stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great, right across the street from the beach. A big plus on the view. It is breathless! Before you book anywhere else, choose Quality Inn.
