great getaway

I was pleasantly surprised that everything was up and running so well after hurricane Ike's destructive path through Galveston. This hotel was clean and that staff was very helpful. Check in and out was a breeze and it is conveniently located next to my favorite restaurant and one of the cleanest areas of the beach!

Location was wonderful. Beach right across the street, many restaurants within short walking distance, and Kroger grocery store on the same block. Close to both San Luis Convention Center and the Moody Gardens Convention Center.
Room was nice & clean. Provided small refrigerator and microwave. Also, free wireless internet, which was wonderful since this was actually a business trip.
Would definitely go back for business or pleasure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Quality Inn. I booked ahead of time to stay Sunday night. We would have stayed the Saturday before, but they were full. The clerk was nice enough to ask me which floor I preferred instead of just sticking us in a room. We had a nice view of the beach from our private balcony (although the railing seemed a litte flimsy so I got a little freaked about that). The room was clean and beautiful. It's not a luxury hotel, but it is very nice. I was most excited about the breakfast. It was a continental breakfast, but they had waffle makers! I love a hot breakfast. They also have an indoor pool, but our kids were too tired from the beach.
Dont come here for the ocean view

Don't be fooled and pay huge amounts to come here and realize that there is no ocean view here, you have to almost stand on the edge of the balcony to see very little of the ocean. $$ during peak season, rooms are nice and clean though
