Scuba diving onsite and gear storage right by the water.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very close to fabulous diving. Close to town. Comfortable and spacious condo. Daily maid service. Adequate kitchen facilities.

Resort Experience:
This condo was simple but comfortable. We had only two of us staying there, but next time we will bring one or two of our kids. There is plenty of room with one bedroom plus a hide-a-bed in the large living room.

Lions Dive Resort

Best Things Nearby:
Snorkeling and easy access to town by rental car.

Best Things About the Resort:
The front office was very helpful. Our unit didn't have a front patio, but most of them did.

Resort Experience:
Superb place to go with friends. Because of the "sand" being just ground down coral, it is not child-accommodating. Lovely pool and many soft dining experiences on front patios and balconies. If you dive, rent transportation to get around. In town dining was scrumptous.

If taking DCA from Curacao to Bonaire, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TICKET IN HAND. It takes 45 minutes for them to hand write a ticket, which means a missed flight, then a missed car rental, then getting into resort so late you need to get keys from the resort next door.

Lions Dive Resort

Best Things Nearby:
The reef right off shore, and an on site dive operation.

Best Things About the Resort:
We had a nice, but not huge, unit with a great view. They also had a man made beach, with steps into the water. The dive operation has a dock with steps for easy entry, rinse tanks, and a locked gear storage area. They also rent tanks by the week for shore diving, and have a tank exchange in the parking lot so you don't have to lug the tanks back and forth. There's also a pretty good restaurant on site, but they get pretty busy around meal time.

Resort Experience:
Our unit only had a shower stall, but then, since they desalinate all their fresh water, conserving fresh water is a big thing. Lions Dive resort is between Buddy Dive and Captain Don's Habitat, north of town, and easy to find. The unit we were in had a full kitchen with a combination dining and living room. The bed was big, and although the unit was not huge, we were quite comfortable. There was also a porch that was a great place for breakfast.

Private Rooms (in Kaz. Dolny)

  • April 16, 2002
  • Rated 2 of 5 by natalka from Torun, Poland
Literally a thirty second walk from the town square, this was just one place on a road (no, a town!) full of 'noclegi' signs. The room was small but comfortable with an ensuite bathroom - I paid 40zl for one night (it would have been 60zl for two nights).
