Totally underrated

We just came back from a 5 night stay in Aruba at the Holiday Inn. It is a 3 star rated hotel, and should definately be a 4!. The hotel was very welcoming - great lobby. 4= resturants, casino, room service, spa, pools, MUCH MORE. We stayed in the Aruba towers that were very well updated, clean, nice furniture, large rooms, great bathroom with standup shower. We had a room with a "ocean view" and it was very nice. The hotel's location is probably the BEST in Aruba. You can walk across the street (literally) and be in a large shopping center with hundreds of restaurants ( 5 star ones all the way down to Sbarro)not to mention tons of stores and shopping carts for those 'deals' within 5 minutes of walking. truly the best location!! The pool and beach is amazing. Restaurants are great too. lot to pick from. If I had to complain about something ( since nothing is perfect) it would be the $7 drinks at the Iguana bar for the size not much large than a dixie cup. and the towels were rough - after having sun burned, you felt it:) I HIGHLY recommedn this hotel. It is really underrated.

We were comfortable and happy with our second visit to Holiday Inn Sunspree. Especially enjoyed the pool area and casino. Played bingo every afternoon and they provide free drinks and a little something to eat. People and service was good. Loved the open lobby. To save money, we booked a room that didn't have ocean view, but even with that, the room was nice, refrigerator more than adequate, bathroom spotless, and balcony enjoyable. We went european. Had cereal and fruit and coffee every morning on the balcony. Made a trip to the supermarket and stocked up on rolls, cold cuts, snacks, and fruit. Ate out just one meal a day. Sometimes lunch and sometimes supper. Tried different places. Holiday Inn is right in the area of eating and shopping establishments. You can walk to many places. The Laguna at Radisson has $19.95 special most nights. We had the prime rib buffet on Saturday for the second time. Made reservation for before 6:00 p.m. and got 10% discount. Would recommend trip to friends and relatives.
