Damp, musty and will not stay again!

We just came back from Pigeon Forge and the only downer on our trip was the hotel. I am very picky and it was rated 8th I believe on a hotel website and I don't know how. It smelled musty when we entered and the room stayed damp the entire time. Everytime someone took a shower it took hours for the mirror to clear unless you cleaned it yourself. You could run the warm water in the sink and the mirror would fog up. Trying to fix your hair was impossible because of the humidity and it was not hot outside! My last swim in the pool was Tuesday afternoon and my bathing suit was still wet when we left Friday! My son has allergies and by the second day he was congested from the mold that began appearing on the wall in the bathroom and who knows where else. Hot tub is an accident waiting to happen. Made of rough cement, my children both had scrapes all over their legs everytime they got in. If you're not picky, don't have allergies, won't be swimming, and have no concern about frizzy hair then this could be the place for you but never again for us!

We loved the room

We stopped here on our way back to New York from Texas. We were tired and weary so we grabbed some dinner at Olive Garden and thankfully so since this place is dry and they let us buy the rest of our bottle of wine so we could take it back to the room with us. We got a room with a jacuzzi and a fireplace. The room was clean, although there were ciggarettes outside on the patio that the maid forgot to clean. Also she left the coffee bag in the machine from the prior guest. The rest of the room was spotless. The tub filled up really fast and we lit the gas fireplace poured some wine and sank into bubbles for a much needed respite from our 17 hour drive. The bed was really comfortable and our room overlooked a little creek. I sat out there and drank my coffee the next morning. We decided to eat at the many pancake houses instead of the breakfast but it looked good. We would definitely reccomend this hotel.

Rude Personnel

We stayed at this hotel during peak season in October so it wasn't our first choice to begin with, but is was available. We found the room to be clean. My complaint is the front desk staff. They were quite rude when there was a discrepancy between what we paid for the room online and what the rate that showed up on their screen when we checked in. We actually paid $30 more online than we would have if we had just booked it there. We didn't beg for our money to be refunded, but casually mentioned that there was a $30 difference. The front desk clerk looked at my husband and said "Good Try" like we were trying to "pull one over on her." I found her to be sarcastic and rude. For that reason we will not support their business by staying there again.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Hot water in shower was NEVER consistent. Ran scalding hot, then freezing cold, then just ran out!!! Maintenance took out the water saver washer thinking this would fix a plumbing problem. Were told we were near the laundry area which seemed to be affecting the hot water supply. Kind of like being in an old house when someone flushes and the hot water burns you, then it freezes you. UNACCEPTABLE! Was told we would still be billed for remaining days if we left. At check-out, clerk laughed when I explained the problems. We also came back to the room one afternoon and found 2 maids watching TV while sitting on our beds. Very unprofessional! Outdoor hot tub needed a step added, as everyone who got in complained that the step down was too big a drop and was dangerous. Go anywhere else but here. Will NEVER stay at this hotel again! Only thing good about it was the location, but there are plenty of other hotels to choose from. Paid too much money not to have working hot water!!!

Wonderful Hotel. Our room was located in the Indoor Pool area. It was wonderful. The room was huge. The indoor pool was wonderful and a terrific temperature. All the staff was extremly friendly and the housekeeper was super. The location is great. In addition to the Indoor pool there is also two very nice outdoor pools. Free Cont. Breakfast was terrific! Tons of options to choose for, great for everyone. I would definatly reccommend! I am very choosey about my hotels and this one went above expectations! Can't wait till we can go back!
