just an ordinary average one night stay, maid service should clean rooms better, we found trash behind the night stand, and the bath room needed a little better cleaning. other than that it was ok

Holiday Inn Thermopolis

I've stayed in Thermopolis 3 times and this location is by far my favorite! When you first walk in, don't be scared by all the dead animals in the lobby (they're game trophies!).
The hot spring/hot tub hybrid thing is awesome! By far it is the most convenient hot springs that I have been in. The restaurant isn't your typical rural Wyoming fare. I was also excited (being budget minded, not cheap) that they gave some coupons for the bar, restaurant, and hot springs.
Rooms are nice, especially compared to others that I have stayed in in the area, but they certainly aren't First Class.
The best features are the Hotel's proximity to the Big Horn River (and it's walkway along the river) and it's proximity to the Hot Springs State Park.

A nice town and a good place to stay. Very large, clean, modern rooms. Sulfur smell of hot springs pool is not a plus to me.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is RIGHT in the park. You can walk to all of the mineral pools, rainbow terraces, Big Spring, and the swinging bridge.

They also have a very nice natural hot spring pool on the premises. . . so you don't even have to go to the big pool if you don't want to.

The rooms are typical of a Holiday Inn, but the Safari Club Lounge and the Safari Club Restaurant is what makes this place really unique. You name it, and they have shot and stuffed it! From the most exotic African wildlife to the typical Wyoming creature, they have it all, plus the safari photos go along with the heads. It is definitely a place to stop even if you are not staying here.

We ate in the Safari Restaurant each night and the food was quite delicious, they even had lobster on the menu! All in all a nice place to stay.
